I went prom dress shopping with my friends at this store. I went in intending to try on and then buy a prom dress because prom is coming up soon. I picked out 3 dresses I thought were beautiful and I asked the man at the front desk if I could try them on in the dressing rooms. He asked how old I was and I told him I was 16 and prom was coming up. The man was on his phone and looked up and told me no and that I could not try on any dresses unless I was 18 or had a parent to watch me try them on. He was pretty rude about it and told me I shouldn’t even be in there looking for dresses. I was very disappointed, upset, and I expected better service. Putting the dresses back, I thought it was absurd that they have a prom dress shop for people going to prom who are not allowed to even try on a prom dress. The prom dresses were not too expensive either, compared to other prom dresses I have seen. I will not be coming back there to buy a dress. I went in to this store yesterday evening to try on some homecoming dresses right? I notice that there are a lot of pretty dresses and I wanted to try some on, first red flag is the fact that the sizes are in small, medium, large, etc. dresses are not supposed to be like that. So I’m a bit confused, my mom and I decide to ask someone working there what size I should try on. We ask politely and this woman says straight to my mom and I, “3X.” I was so upset I didn’t even know what to do or say. Because I’m not that big, I am average sized and the normal size I wear is a medium and large. Another worker finds me some dresses to try on and I found it very weird that only she could zip up and unzip my dresses my mom couldn’t do it. And when I walked out to show them I felt so self conscious and I felt judged. Overall horrible experience and I will never go back there again, and I don’t suggest anyone shopping...

I wanted to try on this dress and i was looking through the rack to find an XS and an employee came over to help me. She asked what size I needed and I told her the smallest size they have and she said I needed a medium. I told her I know my body and I am an XS in everything and most of the time it is still too big, but she kept telling me I was most definitely not a small. I told her about 10 times that medium would be huge on me so she said "alright I'll let you take a small and medium but try on the medium first so you don't damage the small". When I went to the dressing room I put on the small first anyways and it wouldn't stay up without me holding it. I stepped out to show her and tell her I needed an XS like I said, so she grabbed me one. The XS was still too large to stay up...
