Lady Jane's Haircuts for Men- Livonia (Middlebelt Rd - Just North of 7 Mile) — Local services in Livonia

I came here with my wife for a haircut, because I don't really care about my hair's look, but she does. Normally, I just tell the stylist to surprise me, but this lady would have none of that, so I did a quick search and found something suitable and told her "do this but shorter". She then insisted that they had to wash my hair, which would have been fine if she hadn't been man-handling it the whole time. She then started cutting my hair, and about two minuets in, she asks me about the length, which I kindly defer to my wife, who's watching. My wife says, go shorter, and the stylist argues it, and tells us that going shorter would mean getting and paying for a second haircut because it wouldn't match the reference picture I showed. This is the first part of the visit that actually annoyed me. I've never been told I would be up-charged for early-cut adaptations ( or any adaptaions to a haircut, honestly) before, and she hadn't even matched the reference length yet. I told her just to listen to my wife because she knows better than I do what my hair looks like, but the stylist kept trying to tell my wife what she thought I wanted, which is truly absurd. With that, I just let her get on with it. The next problem was that the whole time she was distracted by the little tv there for the customer. This greatly extended the time I was in the chair because she had to keep going back to even out parts and getting hairs she missed. At the end of the haircut, all she had done was shorten what I had by about 4 inches and styled it in no way. It didnt even slightly resemble the picture i showed. Then she went to buzz the neck hair, and cut me twice with them. This really annoyed me, because i do alot of manual labor at my job, and those cuts burned all day from the sweat. So now I need another haircut because it's still too long, my neck is cut, and I'm down a Jackson.The only reason it gets more than one star is because despite not being at all what I asked for, it did look presentable. On top of all this, when it was time to pay, she gave the price, then directly asked how much to charge to the card. I'm pretty sure American ettiquite is to not ask for tips, but whatever. Stacie did a hoorible job and made me blow dry my own highlights and hold the tinfoil for it and pass it to her everytime she needed one, and had a nasty attitude and got upset with me when I did not leave a tip, I did not leave a tip because I basically did my own highlights for $40 definetly never coming here again, and she didn’t go by the picture I showed her at all, I really was disappointed Bc the other times I came here I had a great experience, she also frequently checked her phone while doing my hair, and also decided to cut another customers hair while doing mine,, very bad service, I do not recommend at all, I wasted $40 and now I have to spend more to get this corrected, since she did such a terrible job, I’m very upset about this and will not be returning, she was trying to get me out of there as quick as possible even though it was 3 hours till they closed, she barely spoke to me and was pulling and ripping my hair as she worked on it, even the other stylist had to tell her when to take out the highlights, and where shocked when I had to blow dry my own hair, very disrespectful and cannot believe I spent my money here, my neck is sore and my scalp is in pain from all the pulling, and I really honestly deserve a refund because this is just not worth it at all and the service was hoorible and the hair cape they used on me was filled with previous customers hair, it was very disgusting, and I hope I don’t get a rash from it, never again lady Janes, NEVER AGAIN, I used to be proud of saying I got my haircut here now, I would be sick to my stomach to even here about someone going there, definitely do not...

I have been going there for a few year's now but Idk if I can risk going back there again. Most the worker's are pretty decent but this is the second time in the last couple month's that a different lady really butchered my hair. She did a absolutely horrible job and my family was laughing at me when they seen it my parents that are almost blind said they could of done a better job. The lady had really rushed through it and maybe spent 10 minutes that was the fastest hair cut I've ever had and she really did a very horrible job. I was so in shock and litterly in tears when I walked out I had paid $30 to look like a 🤡 and now I have to wear a 🧢 to hide my horrible hair cut.
