They Will Rip You Off! NOT Fake Flower or Heart Cake Friendly! Let me start off by saying that I’ve been going to the Luca’s in CANTON for over 5 years, and I love their pastries and cake slices. So, naturally when I was thinking about where to get a birthday cake this year, I called Luca’s and they referred me to the the All Things Cake by Luca’s in LIVONIA because the Canton location doesn’t make custom cakes. I wanted a specific kind of cake this year: a heart-shaped cake with pink fake flowers. They’re trending on TikTok, Pinterest, etc. I visited a local baker who told me it would start at $125, Holiday Market who didn’t understand what I was taking about and wanted to use giant real flowers, and then Luca’s – who said they knew exactly what I was talking about and that they had made a lot of these vintage heart cakes recently. I was so excited, so my mom and I drove out and the woman who helped us was very kind and took her time helping us fill out the order form. She told us heart cakes started at $45 and went up in price depending on what you wanted. I showed her the inspiration picture I found on Pinterest. A white heart cake with small pink and purple flowers and a few pearls. I emailed them the exact photo. She stated that the flowers and pearls would be $50 for a total of $110 which is expensive, but they presented themselves as knowledgeable and experienced and I had great experiences with their Canton location, so we paid. My mom even gave them a $16 tip for being so kind, so we dropped $126 on this cake, and it didn’t look anything like the picture. They used GIANT flowers instead of small dainty ones. There were marks where pearls had fallen off. The pearls and flowers weren’t distributed evenly; there were a bunch of pearls crowding the top of the cake but barely any on the sides and back. One white flower had literal dirt on it. I’m betting they spent a total of $5 on these cheap looking flowers they charged us $50 for and they probably got them at the dollar store. And they literally had the inspiration photo I emailed them printed out and tapped to the cake box so they knew what they should try to make it look like. Bottom line, I would’ve been much better off just ordering a white heart cake and then buying the flowers and pearls myself and putting them on. It would’ve been much more affordable and a lot better looking. As for the taste, we ordered a vanilla cake with strawberry cream filing. I love the cake pops at the Canton location because they’re so moist and fresh. But my cake was incredibly DRY and the strawberry cream was only in the very center so only a few slices had the actual filling in it. The cake itself was 3 tiers (they told me heart cakes had to be 2 tiers) and very small around so it looked pretty silly being so tall and then so small on top. I’m extremely disappointed in All Things Cake by Luca’s. They made it seem like they knew exactly what we wanted, charged us $126, but then proceeded to use the cheapest, biggest flowers (instead of quality, small flowers) and gave us a dry cake that didn’t taste fresh at all. This cake is pretty, but not $126 dollars pretty. If we had only paid $45, I would’ve called it a day. But they ripped off my mom making her pay $50 for cheap, dirty flowers, even after she gave them a $16 dollar tip on top of this $110 cake. Stay away if you want a pretty cake that tastes good.

I’m incredibly disappointed in my recent order. I chose All Things Cake after looking through great reviews and photos of past cakes that looked creative and professionally done. Based on that, I felt confident ordering a Hot Wheels-themed cake for my nephew’s 3rd birthday. Before placing the order, I provided inspiration images and spoke with the decorator, who explained the design concept in detail—it sounded perfect. I paid up front, expecting a polished, themed cake that matched the quality I saw online. Unfortunately, what I received looked rushed and amateur. The icing wasn’t smoothed, the design at the bottom was peeling off, and overall, the cake lacked the clean, professional finish I was promised. The cake looked incredibly sloppy. It honestly looked like something I could have attempted at home, which is unacceptable given the price I paid. While customer service was kind and helpful over the phone, the final product did not reflect the same care or attention to detail. I’m truly disappointed, especially for such a special occasion.

Thanks for spoiling my baby's first birthday cake. Long story short: I ordered a birthday cake for my baby with a simple pink color, featuring my baby’s name and age. They misspelled it. My baby’s name is Jhanvi, but they wrote it as 'jxanvi.' When I ordered the cake, I spelled it out correctly, and they confirmed it was correct. I'm not sure how this mistake happened. When my husband went to pick it up, they corrected the spelling but insisted they couldn't do anything more. They told him to check the cake's picture to see how it turned out. To add to the disappointment, I ordered a blueberry cake, but they gave me a strawberry-blueberry cake instead. How careless can they be? I am completely disappointed and saddened by how my baby's first cake turned out. I spent a total of $80 on this cake, and this is what I received. If I could give it 0 stars, I would

IT'S NOT FAIR TO SELL YOUR CUSTOMERS OLD CAKE BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T MAKE YOUR MONEY BACK ON IT bought a slice of cake from ALL THINGS CAKE BAKED BY "LUCA PASTRY"and some cookies. The cookies were good but the cake was so old and dry; even the icing was smooth not creamy in the middle but the outer layer was crusted it was lemon raspberry. I went back thinking maybe it was just "that" slice because the cookies were good. The woman who helped me I dont blame her she was very nice and pleasant which that was the only reason my experience was good because I was going to buy a carrot cake slice but she offered it to me for free very nice. I get home and decided to eat it and again hard and dry like it's bee left out overnight. Whom ever is praising these cakes slices YOU NEED TO STOP. I will never go back and if anybody ask me about this place I recommend not to go. WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS PERSON ARE YOU, SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF. You better be glad I wasn't a food...
