I’m irritated with this store when trying to sell items. This location is 30 mins out of my way and two days in a row I’ve come and not been able to sell. Yesterday, they randomly closed the Buy Counter on Tuesdays and Thursdays until further notice. Then today they are randomly closed at 6pm when they are supposed to be open until 8pm. They should be more considerate of peoples’ time and stick to the schedule and any time they’re open they should be accepting items. Furthermore, they have all these rules like clothes have to be in a laundry basket, no trash bags, and you can’t bring in more than two baskets of clothes. I had about 6 bags of nice clothes I was trying the first time I came to sell, so this is my 3rd time here. I could have avoided this whole hassle had they let me sell them all the first time I came here. They’ve been taking up all the space in my car for 2 weeks. All these rules make me just want to dump this stuff in the donation bin instead of wasting my time and gas driving across town.
Edit I appreciate the response, but it seems like calling ahead would not have even helped because in another review you can see that a customer called ahead and the store said they are accepting items. After driving 30 mins to the store, they were told to return the following day. Do you guys not realize that’s 2 hours of that person’s time wasted? And even more gas money? It’s not worth receiving $60 if I have to drive all the way over there 3-4 times to sell one batch of clothes, then I’m barely even making back what I spent on gas. I won’t be returning and will take my items elsewhere for sale. I wish this store the best of luck because if they continue like this I don’t see them being in business at this...
Read moreGoing into the store was a HUGE disappointment!!! I called ahead of time because I had two blazers that I wanted them to look at. I was told over the phone YES, we do take high end clothing but when I got there they said "We will not be buying your blazers. So they don't take "ALL" high-end clothing so that was a LIE. You will hear different answers from different staff that work there. It wasn't a welcoming environment in fact it was very rude. There is someone that works there at the front I believe was named Kevin with orange hair that looks like a she/he. When he put my blazers back on the hanger and into the plastic that I brought it in, it was messy and uncaring. I asked to speak to a manager who just kept giving me the same answer which wasn't making any sense "Yes we do take high end apparel but they don't. They need to put a list up of all the high-end brands they accept at their store. As I walked around, I noticed that a lot of the clothes looked worn, the colors had faded, there was hair on a lot of the clothes and a strong odor in the store. I don't buy clothes at resale stores. I do not wear worn clothing. I would NOT recommend going into...
Read moreAs a loyal Uptowner from Rockville to Charlotte to Brandon, when I go to a new state I search out the locations as I typically enjoy the conversation and like to see the various trends, however from some of the FB responses from staff and the response comments in the reviews, I will not patronize this location! As consumers until we demand respect for our dollar we will continue to be treated in any manner. From My YSL bag I harlotte, the main reason I purchased was bc of the respect I saw in the review responses (even the negative ones) and my interactions in the stores. As the manager stated, there are plenty of retail sites that offer comparable pricing so before you are disrespected - spend your dollars elsewhere.
*Update…. The manager did reach out and welcomed a conversation regarding the previous issue which I do I appreciate. Sometimes it’s just a matter of...
