GAMEPLAY LIVONIA — Local services in Livonia

I previously wrote a review on this location shortly after it was rebranded from Game Headz. I was impressed with the selection of games and its darker appeal; the service also was well-crafted and efficient.

Nowadays, my thoughts about this place have changed slightly. I went here on a Thursday with family and friends. A friend of mine wanted to sell some games and systems. Their procedure for this kind of thing works similar to that of GameStop; you won't get a whole lot for what you trade-in (about $5 for a GameCube and $10 for an original Xbox). You can get more, but the monetary value depends on what specifically gets brought in. Their online site needs major work done (several links lead to 404 errors). As of this writing, their public restroom has been out of order for months.

Gameplay uses a black and green color scheme throughout the store, which I find cool. Most of the areas are well-labeled to find what you want quickly. Service wise, there was only one employee in the store at the time of our visit. I rarely leave reviews but this place is amazing. My PS5 had been overheating constantly so I took it in and in less than 2 hours it was completely cleaned out and working as new. Extremely reasonably priced compared to competitors too. However during the cleaning process something got knocked out of place and my controllers were now struggling to stay connected to the system. I called and he told me to come back in and was able to identify and fix the issue (a wire got knocked out of place during the cleaning it seems) within 5 minutes. Did not give me any issues at all when I brought up the new problem I was having.

So rest assured if you bring your device in it’ll get fixed fast and efficiently and even if there’s a mistake on their part they will correct it hassle-free. Will 100% do business with them again in the future.

I thought this place was great. Very friendly atmosphere down-to-earth honest. I brought my scuf reflex FPS controller in thinking that the left trigger was not working properly. Come to find out, the controller was perfectly fine my mind got manipulated because Modern Warfare 3 between the settings and the game in this big reality was at fault and not the controller.Bee kindly took the time took apart my controller diagnosed it and was perfectly new and functioning as it could be out of the box, not to mention he didn't even charge me for anything it's not even that it's just the fact that he was super professional and nice and if I could recommend anyone to get any other electronic toys fixed this place is where to go.
