I've been spoiled, I guess, by Lee Lee in West Phoenix. Greatest. Asian market. Ever. Before I made my first visit this morning, I tried to temper my expectations. Walked into what looked more like a 7-Eleven. When I looked a little closer, though, I found a few things for tonight's Pho. If you're looking for fresh, Pacific Rim, produce, forget it. The pickins' are slim in that department at Mid 7. instead of fresh Enoki (straw) Mushrooms, I had to settle for dried Shitake. I was also hoping to find some fresh, whole fish/shellfish on ice. Didn't even tell me the total. Handed me my change and sat down. I asked for a receipt and he finally said "Oh you need a receipt?" I said yes and he finally said thank you. When people spend money with you, at least acknowledge them. A little kindness goes a long way. You never know how far...
