Michaels — Local services in Livonia

I wanted to make my aunt a sweater. I found a pattern I liked but someone had ripped a page out of the book. I found an employee and asked if there might be another undamaged book in the back. She apologized and said I would receive a 10% discount off the book at checkout. I was like, "cool! I wasn't going to make that pattern anyway." I picked out the yarn and headed for the checkout. When I got to the register I explained what the other employee had told me about getting money off of the damaged patter book. "Oh no, I'm not going to sell you a book with missing information. You need all of the information to make something." I attempted to explain that I did not and that I had already talked to another employee about the situation. The register worker acted as if I had damaged the book and was trying to rip their store off. First off, train all your employees with the same correct information. Second, I didn't deserve to be treated like that. I don't steal and at 40 I'm not about to start. I walked out while she was still ringing up the yarn for the sweater I was going to make out of the book she wouldn't sell me. I will never go back to...

I have been going to Michael's for 5 years now. I love their other locations. I just moved here and Livonia store manager has been consistently rude and arrogant with me. I'm not sure why.

From my total bill of $100+ I returned $15 worth something and she treated me like I was begging for money. She explained to me that the paint I bought is cheap and of poor quality ( none of her business which paint I buy) and she doesn't know why I'm buying it. It was for kids school project.

After few days went there to pick up online order ( placed order online to save time) Saw her at the door spoke with her and told her I'm there for pickup. She is the one at pick up counter. She didn't show up for 20 minutes. I could see her walking through the aisles. Aaron bothers guy called her asked her to come. She didn't come. That guy helped me with my order.

One of the paint box had gooey paint. Showed her result and how it ruined my painting. She didn't care. Not even sorry. I asked for refund she gave me replacement of different paint than the one I asked for.

when I walked in I was incredibly overwhelmed because I haven't been there in years and it was just so packed with cool stuff. Now if I had the time and the money,I could have made some really amazing stuff, however, I had a budget and a plan. I stayed within the budget and I made some amazing posters for my daughter's very last regular season varsity volleyball game, but in the section that had Sports stickers and likes craft things that were sports-related, there was no volleyball related ones so that kind of sucked. It was a little pricier than I would have liked, but I made a really cool poster that was made up of poster board, wood, particle board, fabric, photos, stickers, sparkles, foam, and other stuff I can't even think of--it even had lights! The only problem was, the poster itself ended up costing almost $60! I have a lot left over that I can use for her last winter or spring sports season this senior year.
