DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH & LIFE. I ordered 2 each of the garlic & garlics with chives naan, vegetable biryani & butter chicken w/rice. I am just now recovering from last night’s order, though my eyes are still swollen almost shut like in the pics. Spent $40 couldn’t eat nothing beyond the 1/2 piece of one of the 4 naan breads I ordered. I am extremely careful about who I order from and what I order. I stay away from anything with tree nuts in it. That would be everything other than peanuts. None of my order says anything about nuts being involved in the preparation or ingredients. So it must have been a cross contamination issue. Mind you, I’ve eaten from here before & came back to get the same naan bread as before. Called & spoke to the manger today and spoke to a female the a very callous man who just says go to the doctor & show me. My order was picked up around 9:15 pm & this was my dinner for the night. My mouth and throat started itching & swelling right after eating 1/2 of one of the naan breads. Nothing else was consumed, so of course it came from their neglect in preparation. No apologies or anything for me having to rush out to 7 eleven (only thing open last 10) and get Benadryl & eye drops and have hours of agony from the allergic reaction that resulted from their food. Needless to say I won’t be back because I will not patronize a restaurant who is not more careful with their preparation & also is so rude and could care less about their customers. I hate to post unflattering photos of myself but feel I must to warn others. My ears and hands ended up swelling just as much and my entire body & scalp felt like they were itching from the inside. Terrible. You have a responsibility as a restaurant to list ingredients especially if they may contain nuts or come in contact with nuts (if you’re not going to be careful about cross...
Read moreI don't know where to begin, I have been going to this local Indian spot for years, back when it was "Haandi" I worked there, which made my knowledge of Indian cuisine a bit more experienced, since then it has changed to royal cuisine of india & now Raj.. Apparently every time someone new buys it, it gets worse. Haandi had great authentic Indian food, royal cuisine of india was hit or miss sometimes great sometimes not, Raj's Indian food went straight into the trash can. I could not believe my service, and was even more shocked they choose to serve me the food they did.. I'll break the down from beginning to end. I ordered: Samosas, chicken 65, chicken maakani, & garlic naan. Some staples in Indian cuisine & very popular apps, the samosas were hard as rocks, chicken65 looked old and gray, chicken maakani looked like they poured a whole bottle of fish sauce in it, the smell made me gag. There was a thick layer of oil on top, the garlic naan had a life time supply of minced garlic on it and was burnt to a crisp.. Lesson 1 in cooking 101: burnt garlic ruins any food it touches! Onto the serves, I called ahead and ordered, on the phone the gent taking my order tried to tell me chicken tikka misala when I clearly said NO I want chicken maakani, after repeating that back and forth 3-4 times he said 15-20 mins. When my boyfriend got there they tried to give him chicken tikka misala he said no, repeated the order then the host said "here it is",(on a peice of paper) and then placed the order in the computer. They didn't start cooking it until after we were there to pick to up & they tried to pawn off someone's no show carry-out order on us, twice! Save yourself the money & go...
Read moreI deleted my former review as our most recent order was great! The only error; they forgot our samosa sauce even w/ request in instructions- thankfully, we live rather closely to the restaurant, so my husband was able to go back over and pick them up-The lady was very apologetic and they even gave us a larger portion or serving of the sauces for the Samosa-
I don’t know if they have a new manager or a new cook, but this meal was phenomenal and cooked to perfection. We ordered carry out and the timing was accurate so that our meal wasn’t sitting there getting cold while waiting for us to pick it up. Everything that we ordered mild was mild and everything that we ordered medium with medium. I will say as with all restaurants it is expensive. But this was a special treat for Father’s Day. It’s one of my husband‘s favorite places. we don’t frequently get to order from here- the last couple times that we did, we were very disappointed, so it was nice to have a delicious well prepared and well packaged meal - when you’re paying $75 for food, it should be great😁
Chat samosa was tasty, flavorful and a nice portion Chicken tikka was flavorful but for the price, they cold have given a larger portion Dal makhani ( sp?) was so delicious- sopped it up with the Naan Paneer Mutter was soooo yummy! Lamb samosas were eh- I love lamb but these were heavy gamey dry Naan was perfect Rice is light and fluffy Mango Lassi...
