The Container Store — Local services in Lone Tree

Initially I was “wowed” by the selection at The Container Store. I walked in and had a thousand organizing ideas. There are a plethora of places for things to be put, no doubt, but the quality varies widely! They also have designers that will help you design your dream closet. THIS IS PROBABLY THE LEAST CUSTOMER-FRIENDLY ISSUE I HAVE!!! I had an virtual appointment after we moved into a new (for us) house. They sent me detailed instructions for measuring my closet. I’m not new to a tape measure and took the time to get the appropriate data. When I virtually met my “designer” I texted him the info, we discussed the type of closet I was looking for (the Laren), the upgrades etc. This “designer” then hems & haws only to tell me that he doesn’t really work with the Laren and to boot that because my closet isn’t a perfect square or a rectangle, they don’t have a program that can really give me a good estimate. Then he quotes me a range of $5,000-$30,000. Seriously??? Why not $4,000-$78,000... why not a kidney - moon rocks??? $5,000-$30,000 isn’t an estimate, this is a HUGE WASTE OF TIME!!!! Our appointment was ending and I thought he was going to get back to me with something more concrete as I was truly wanting to have work done, alas, he never did. I’m sure he figured that I wouldn’t be interested in having my closet done after that astonishingly productive meeting??? Go to The Closet Factory!!! They have AMAZING DESIGNERS AND THEY ACTUALLY WANT YOUR BUSINESS!!! Ask for Leslie. I’ll post photos once my closet work...

Placed an order online for some storage bins and cardboard dividers for Christmas ornaments. Set a pick up time of 2pm. Received a text letting me know it was ready so I went in just before 2:30pm. The guy at the register was less than friendly and seemed annoyed he had to look up my order (as if it would have been less work for him to have to ring up everything). He told me someone would bring it up. It took 5 minutes to bring up my order. I stood at the front of the store looking at the exact products I purchased thinking it would have been faster for me to just walk in and buy them. I also watched another gentleman walk in have them pull up his order and bring it out to his car for him. They asked him to pull up to a pick-up spot right out front. They just brought me a cart and handed it off. Didn't offer help or anything. Then once I had loaded everything I realized I was not given a receipt. I had to go inside and ask the unfriendly cashier for that and had to wait while he called over a manager then wait for the manager to make excuses claiming it should have been in the bag (there was no bag) wait more for the receipt to be printed and more excuses making accusations like I didn't see it. Not a great experience and similar products were available at JoAnn Fabric...

Just Departed Container Store Park Meadows Mall Lone Tree CO 11:23AM / 5/21/24. Arrived to purchase 1 dish drying mat for kitchen; approached Cash-Register-(only.1.staffed.at.time) & Rudeness begins….🙈….Customer / Women front of me & teen daughter were making a purchase when Mother went to find additional items; walked to back of store; daughter at this point paid for all 3 item’s at register & moved 5 feet away.(register.at.this.point.was.00.out.from.purchase) ——————————————————— Associate of Container Store totaled ignored me & kept-looking 👀 back for Mother to return with other items; recall daughter purchased initial items & moved 5 ft away from register; This Associate (women.(40’ish-shoulder length brown hair) of Container Store never once looked 👀 my way & continued to ‘Act’ as if she was waiting for Mother of daughter to return; No one would mistake this Associate of Container Store with common sense or customer focus—but will give Associate a high five for rudeness. ———————————————————— This is I Why order consumer products on line (think.Amazon & Google) & don’t go into retail merchants in my area; Associates are so inept dealing with customers.
