The Long Beach location pulled a bad move. I found a $5 bracelet that they put out today 12/3 that was a carved bone bracelet with elephants. I gave it to the cash register person to hold, he liked it stating he would buy it and started showing other employees the bracelet. Later that employees comes to me and says they are not going to sell it because they say it's ivory....it's not. I spoke with the managers who stated they needed to tested it, I asked them to test it then she said she didn't have the equipment. I then asked them how did they know it ivory. She stated she didn't know. I told them that was a bad move....I deal in Antiques it's not even a old piece and definitely not ivory, just a nice carved piece of bone. I feel had the cashier register guy not blab and show it to other employees I would of gotten a piece that DID have some Silver. Terrible customer servic. Caution when dealing with the LB location. Read moreSO......Your email says you'll be notified the night before your donation pickup confirming a time for your pickup..... don't believe that. I wasn't notified at all. I had to call them and leave a message and they didn't call me back until the morning of... also, don't plan on them actually taking all your donations when you schedule a pickup. Even if their site specifically says they do accept the thing you're donating..... if you have a lazy driver like I did who simply doesn't want to have to lift anything (a dresser in perfect condition....which the site clearly says they accept!) you'll be left at the last minute before your move trying to find another place to donate to anyway. They did me wrong like this today. SOOOOO WRONG!! And on a holiday weekend to boot! Really not a good experience. Read moreMy son and I are both been dealing with out of the closet for many years with donating stuff from our closet from our bed from just life in general and every donation we get we donate to them and just finding out today as of April 18, 2025 they have a donation truck that picks up from your house which is a blessing I highly recommend this place because they help people who are in need and on top of everything going towards people who are sick the people that work there are amazing wonderful, and most beautiful people Highly recommended place to donate your stuff they always gave great customer service always smile always say thank you very polite always willing to go the extra mile and the woman I spoke to today on the phone was wonderful.
