Long Beach EBikes — Local services in Long Beach

I don't own a car and was looking for a convenient and efficient way to travel around Long Beach and Los Angeles. Thankfully, both areas are densely populated (more so LA), so commuting if you have a skateboard or bicycle is in many ways more ideal than having to deal with the troublesome traffic and parking that comes with life in a big city. After some searching, I discovered that electric bicycles were quickly (if not already) becoming a fantastic way to both travel and have fun on wheels, so I made my way to this store hoping to find a new way to ride (I mainly rode the bus and skateboarded). I'd say the biggest shock after walking inside was reading how expensive most eBikes are. If you're looking for a quality model that'll give you great speed and at least 40+ miles on a single charge, expect to pay $1000+. There are cheaper models available, some even in the range of $500, but you'll be getting what you pay for. Those bikes don't run with great batteries and your speed probably won't exceed an average of 16 mph. I've owned both models so far, a lower priced and modest priced electric bicycle, so take my advice from one customer to another and pay top dollar for what you want. You'll thank yourself in the future. The owner of the store gave me great deals and a bunch of helpful knowledge with both of my eBikes (and also didn't mind when I asked 100 questions), and he's a big reason why I went back to get another when I realized my first weaker model didn't cut it. shortly after i left a good review when they bled my brakes. I went back for a real problem like my chain drive on my surron. They made me spend around 250 in total because they broke the first chain I gave them and they got a new one. When I came back and test rode it, it broke off again. So I had to wait another week for them to fix it. Then i came back and was in eco mode and the chain snapped off once again. I was quite mad since i havent rode my bike in 3 weeks because of a simple chain drive. The workers are polite just some things they cant fix, they should say they cant fix certain problems. I went to another ebike shop in long beach and they told me i had wrong gear system which is what i wasnt told at this shop. The other ebike shop fixed it for $60 in 3 days. I had my bike in this shop for 3 weeks and they couldnt figure it out nor did they test ride it to let me know it wasnt working. Then when i tried to give up on my bike and trade it in for there other bike similar to surron just not popular and doesnt have as much aftermarket parts. I just wanted a slight discount like 2 thousand off because a surron is worth 4700 stock, they would only give me 1300 plus tax for it which is a complete rip off and they completely wasted my time and money there. A solid discount on that bike wouldve been a good apology for them since they wasted almost a month on a problem they had no clue to fix. Dont come here if have a real problem...

BEWARE: (don’t trust the fake 5 star reviews) If you shop here, please double or triple check the prices they are telling you on the internet. They raise the price by hundreds of hundreds of dollars if not over a thousand. I asked around prices as if I was a rookie in this space with a guy named “Alex” and bikes that online or other retailers are $1000, they sell for $1500. Every bike will be marked up anywhere from 40-100%. So before purchasing here, verify the price. Also their accessories are also marked up an unreasonable amount like their locks.

Regarding the fake 5 star reviews, they have a QR code where they give people free accessories or other incentives for 5 star reviews. There’s a reason why all their reviews sound very general and broad. Here is photo proof of the QR code for free stuff. Also, use some common sense, there’s a reason why they’ve been open over a year but 80% of their five star reviews have been in a span of two months.
