Del Taco — Restaurant in Long Beach

Fast food isn’t amazing, but it’s fast. Or, at least, that’s how it’s supposed to be. I just sat in line for over 19 minutes in the drive thru because the person in front of me took forever to order her food AND THEN, once she got to the window and paid for her first order, decided she needed to order five more drinks and accompanying food. The manager (and I know it was the manager, because I spoke to her, as well, once I got to the window) was cordial and quite happy to allow this woman to hold up the entire line while she ordered more food, in an equally slow and lengthy manner. In fact, the customer and the manager even had time to chit chat for a good length of time while taking the subsequent order.

How do I know I sat in line for over 19 minutes? I had just started listening to a podcast when I pulled into the line and when I finally got to the window, the podcast was 19:44 into its play time.

I figured my simple order had been sitting there for the bulk of that time, so I told the manager she could either give me my order for free or I would call corporate and let them know about my 19 minutes in line. “I’m sorry, we cannot give you your food for free, ma’am.” Okay, throw it away, chalk it up to waste, and get the review you deserve.

Upon leaving, there were so many cars backed up to get into the drive thru, I had to wait for the cars to move up in order to exit.

Not fast. Not service oriented. Not too bright.

Del Taco has a good core menu-its everyday, regular menu which is favorited by their everyday, regular customers. I like the menu items and I also like how they keep it interesting with fresh menu specials like the. Epic Crispy Chicken & Gusc Burrito for $5. served foil & paper sheet wrapped for the ease of handling- thats a 2 'hander' handling item cause its a full size, huge, mouth-stuffing, tummu-filling for sn appetite adventure youll love I lnow I did and this is why, with so many places putting out products half the size, none the flavor and twice the price, Del.Taco's Epic Crispy Chicken & Guac Burrito speaks for itself-it says Del.Taco appreciates me...Thats resoect! But places that take forever, food that doesn't fill and way over priced and you leave regretting it all- thats saying y ou should appreciate them. No respect! Anyways you gotta try the Epic Crispy Cjivken & Guac Burrito. It eats nicely, light on the body but filling on the hunger and it has a fresh salad flare of healthy greens & tomates but packed with thick cut, tender crispy chicken and goes down tasty with its zesty sauce that gives it an edge and of course, it has the crunch factor-crispy tortilla bits throughout. Very satisfying, no unpleasant after taste, mouth odors or other embarassing aromas..Well done! Only suggestion is that this can be served a bit hotter & it wouldn't compromise the quality freshness...

This is the best late night stop when you headed home an dont wanna cook lol. However the late night staff need to be retrained or moved to a different location. Between 7pm & 6am that cashier is so slow, very lazy, an seems (they) be in there playing or taking they time to service customers while the drive-thru is filling up. Being extra nice over the mic but a 30 min hold-up with only 2 cars infront of me. I ordered a bean n cheese burrito n 2 chicken tacos. They were cold by the time (they) handed it to me. I asked for hot an (they) gave me mild. I tryed to ask if (they) were doing multiple job back there for the long wait & what the hold up was an (they) closed the window an laughed an walked away. I promise that person has ZERO customer service skills, very rude,. At $20 a hour for fast food workers you would think (they) could adjust they attitude a bit. (They) act like you bothering them an your just the customer. Sitting in a drive-thru for over 40 mins with the same menu for decades for 3 items was not ok. Got to do better at...
