Big E Pizza — Restaurant in Signal Hill

First off, thank you Big E Pizza for being my late night hero's and taking care of my pizza cravings! The place is bigger than it looks!

Service 8/10 I ordered online and made the mistake of getting a one topping pizza instead of two and when I called to fix my order the gentleman who worked picked up the phone was super accommodating and understanding. He fixed my ordered and I was able to pay the difference when I arrived to pick it up. Everyone who worked that evening so so nice! Even tho it was literally midnight they let me sit and eat in the dining area. And They Sell Beer!!!!

Stick a fork in me.. I'm done! Open till 1am (sometimes even later), beer and pizza! This is now my pizza place.

Update: on Saturdays they’re open until 3am and when I got here at 2:15am I only ordered a personal pizza and they wouldn’t let me dine in. Not sure how long they think it takes ones person to finish a small pizza. And they put the section closed up after I ordered. They should let people know while they’re ordering that it’s to-go only, not after. Thought I was going to sit down and enjoy my food. I know the employees want to leave on time and I would have gladly left before closing. Just super disappointed in the service offered this night.

Ambience: 10/10 The decor and homage to the Godfather was amazing! I loved every piece they had hanging up. It really Gia you something to focus on and talk about while you wait for your food.

Food: 6/10 The pizza was beyond words, so good! Cooked to pizza perfection! My only qualm was the cheese didn't have that ooey gooey stretch that I love, but that's completely a personal preference.

Update: I went back again and tried the Home Alone Special which came with a personal pizza, small dinner salad, 6 wings and a large drink. Everything was great but the wings were.. severely lacking and over cooked. Definitely need some seasoning on there and many minutes less in the fryer. The ranch was decent but the blu cheese dressing was flavorless as well. I may give the wings another chance but I'd be afraid to waste my money again.

Ordered delivery from Big E's as recommended by the hotel I am staying at. All I wanted was a bottle of wine & cheesecake but the hotel bar I was staying at was closed (11pm on a Friday AH) so I placed an order for a bottle of merlot and food and asked for them to bring a cork screw at 11:10 pm. At 12:10pm the delivery guy arrived with my food and cork screw but no bottle of wine. :( He told me he forgot it and admitted he was confused why I wanted the cork screw (at this point I am just worried how this guy has made it this far in life) and he tells me he will go to the nearest liquor store to get me said bottle of wine. As sketchy as this seems I agree and tip him normally. I then call the restaurant to speak with the manager and let him know what was going on. Any respectable establishment would be apologetic and offer a refund for the forgotten item but the gentleman I spoke to was rude and accusatory saying " well he is going to get the bottle for you right?" AH! And then when he finally returned with my bottle of very very warm red wine he had the audacity to ask me to tip him extra for the difference of the wine that he claimed he overpaid for. I then asked if he had the receipt for the supposedly 40$ bottle of wine which conveniently he did not have. In the end I got my bottle of wine but this was literally the worst overall experience I have ever had... DO NOT give this sketchy establishment...
