I found the owners to be charming and I like supporting businesses in my community–especially ones that have been around a long time. However, based on my experience, I would recommend against renting a tux here for your wedding.
Though I began the rental process 4 months in advance, ultimately, I did not wear the garment I rented from Cassara Brothers on my wedding day. I ended up buying a tux off the rack from a department store on the day before my wedding. My groomsmen did wear tuxes that I ordered, but ended up swapping garments among one another to achieve a better fit.
It seems to me that the owners and I did not communicate effectively with one another during this process. I wasn’t very clear about what I wanted and needed a lot of guidance. I feel that I needed more assistance from Cassara Brothers than I received. I wish that I had asked for more help, but I also feel that the owners could have done more to make sure that I was going to be satisfied with the...
Read moreToday, I needed to attend a business event and need my suits ironed right away. I drove to two cleaners in Mountain View and Los Alto area, and one tailor's shop, only disappointed to find out that none of could do that for me (most of them did not even have an iron in shop). While I was driving to yet another shop, I came across Cassara Brothers, by chance, and decided to give it a shot. Wow, I am pleasantly surprised and impressed. I got what I can possibly expect from a local shop -- great service and friendly chat. My suits and shirts were ironed to perfection. Mario even helped me put on my jacket and gave me suggestions on how to take care of my suits.
In the end, when I asked Mario how much I owed him, he smiled back "nothing". Yes, he did all these without expecting any payment from me.
In a hectic world in which everyone is busy pursuing, Mario gives and brings some extra color to a stranger's life. Mario, thank you, I will pay forward what has...
Read moreI couldn’t echo more fervently the clear passion Mario has to put his customers’ best interests and service at the forefront. I was in town for some important business meetings and unfortunately forgot to pack a pair of socks. Seems like a small matter but Mario was there to put my mind at ease and as we were chatting about his business I quickly came to admire his and his late father’s entrepreneurial spirit. My delight was only heightened when he offered me the socks free of charge! This simple yet impactful approach to serving the customer is often lost in today’s world. If I am ever back in town I will be sure to stop by Cassandra Brothers Clothiers as through his approach Mario has won a...
