Prices here are excellent - lots of good variety for what you pay.
There's a lot of potential to this place, and I can tell that the management cares about giving a good experience (small details, like that warm milk comes with the coffee instead of chilled milk), but the restaurant isn't executing on some important points: Every dish I had was undersalted (except the toast and the coffee haha). The food opens up and becomes so, so much better with just a little salt. People coming could theoretically salt to taste, but that's not really what people want, and plenty of folks would just think the food is bland.
The hash browns are a little more like fried mashed potatoes. The only strips of potato with any defined crispiness are the ones on the outside, and they're a little overcooked. This happens when the grated potatoes are not rinsed (to remove the extra starch, which gloms the hash browns together). It's an easy mistake to make, and it means they've almost certainly gone to the trouble of grating their hash browns fresh, which is good, but the execution just isn't there.
The restaurant appears to be slightly understaffed on servers. The server I interacted with was gracious, friendly, and responsive, but they weren't attentive. Glancing into the restaurant you can see it's because they're jumping from table to table helping folks out already. To deliver on things like their "bottomless" coffee, the restaurant needs more staff. I hope that they could hire one more server without affecting the price point too much.
For the time being, I'd recommend visitors to select "inside only", as the outside tables are...
Read moreIts ok place. What got to me this morning was that I was clear on what I wanted- I said Steak and eggs with hash browns and sourdough toast... Then the waitress asked me how I would like my steak.I said medium rare to medium. Then she asked me what kind of potatoes and what kind of toast I wanted.I guess she didn't listen the 1st time. I had asked for Sunnyside up eggs which to me is runny yoke and cooked whites. Food came so quickly that I was a little bit confused... But then i understood when I looked down at the plate... The white on the top of the eggs was raw near the yolks and the steak was raw on inside. I was seated right next to the kitchen so I brought the plate back and asked for the eggs to be cooked more and the steak to be cooked more.I had not touched anything.I had only cut into the steak with a knife. Instead of sliding the steak and eggs back into the grill and cooking the steak and the eggs more, they threw everything away... including the potatoes the toast. I was not sick and I barely breathed on this food. But what made me sick was the waste of untouched food that only needed to be cooked a little more. Each restaurant needs to do what they can to prepare safe food and not waste it as much as possible, in my opinion. Just use common sense. When they brought me a new plate of food , the steak was literally half the size of the 1st one. I appreciate a learning experience here today but probably won't be back... also, as the last time I was here I had to wait 25 min. for a cup of...

My family and I actually ordered three completely different meals and no one enjoyed their food. That's really difficult to pull off when you are talking about breakfast since breakfast is such an easy meal of the day. But it just wasn't good at all. I ordered steak and eggs with hash browns. The steak and eggs wasn't seasoned even with a little bit of salt. I used a ton of ketchup in order to make it more edible. My daughter ordered those expensive rocky road pancakes. She's 13 so she doesn't have a refined pallet or anything and she hated her food. She said the pancakes had no flavor, not even the taste of buttermilk or vanilla. It was just "batter" or flour topped with whipped cream and chocolate. The all American meal that my husband got was on the same wavelength. The country potatoes were just potatoes without any seasoning even though they had bell peppers sliced up in them and the eggs were also bland.
Overall, I would say this is a nice little place. The service was excellent. The ambiance wasn't great, in my opinion, as it mostly smelled like fried oil instead of food. I don't think this is a place that we will try again but maybe others will have a different experience. However, if you are on a low sodium diet or you don't care for much seasoning, this place is probably...
