I had an absolutely stellar experience working with Julio to design my engagement ring, from start to finish.

I initially reached out to Julio because I came across one of his original designs that I wanted to recreate for an engagement ring. I was not the most informed about jewelry and was pleasantly surprised when he gave me advice based on my desires and which stones would be the most durable and resilient after daily use. This selfless sharing of knowledge left a great impression on me, because prior to speaking with him about wanting an emerald ring, I was working with another jeweler to design a ring for me who never informed me that emeralds were soft and prone to damage. Therefore, between Julio’s obvious talent and creativity, deciding to work with him instead was a no-brainer.

Not only is Julio extremely knowledgeable, but he is also very great at listening to your desires and working with you to create the perfect design.

I am very grateful for his patience and understanding through out this process and I will jump at any chance to recommend Artisan LA to anyone in the future.

Julio is perfect for anyone looking to get engaged and trying to find the right ring or setting. My now-husband went to him to have a family stone placed in a new setting for engagement, and I couldn't love the ring more. I commonly see men looking to get engaged in there, and have given my opinion when asked on rings to several uncertain guys. Julio will always clean and re-rhodiumize my white gold setting, and even replaces small diamonds in my setting if they come loose - for free!! I also had the original ring that held the engagement stone replaced with a beautiful moonstone. They did a fabulous job giving recommendation and getting exactly what I envisioned for the ring. Apart from rings, Julio's other jewelry are perfectly to my taste; delicate, clean, and showcasing the gems used. I'd love any item he makes or sells as other important milestones in my life pass. Not only is his work beautiful, but he is always smiling and happy to see me (even if he doesn't always associate my face with my jewelry or name :-P). My fiancé and I brought a family ring to Julio after the proposal to have it redone in a more modern and personal setting for me. He was so easy to work with! We were able to get in for an appointment right away. The design, service, price and speed were all stellar.

Artisan LA was actually the second jeweler we went to when working on the redesign for my engagement ring and wedding band. The first place really just wanted me to show a ring that I liked and they would make exactly that. When I brought my inspiration to Julio, he looked through and came up with a design after discussing the elements that I liked from my reference images. It feels very custom and special. He was able to turn around the CAD for the design within around a week or so (so easy to see how your design will execute!!). The CAD looked great on the first go and he was able to even show me a few changes on the call that showed how my comments would modify the look.

From the time I dropped off the ring, it only took aprox 2 weeks to get it back. It is so gorgeous! I am looking forward to going back to work with Julio on the matching...
