The Punchbowl Los Angeles — Restaurant in Los Angeles

This is my favorite juice bar in town, and perhaps even my favorite juice bar of all time. The drinks here are impeccable in terms of high quality, fresh, organic ingredients and flavor. Though I've been to this cafe more times than I can count, I still have a hard time choosing from the diverse menu of juices and smoothies because they're all equally good. If I had to choose a favorite I'd say the Spark Plug juice - it is so tangy, sweet, refreshing, soothing and uplifting. Their prices are high but I don't blink an eye at them because everything they make is fantastic and 100% worth it.

The staff is ultra friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and laid back with a eco-friendly twist. Parking can be found at a meter in the lot next store or on the street in front, and you're welcome to take change from the jar on the counter. Bring your own bottle and they'll put your drink inside, and return their glass bottles after you finish your juice.

Though it can get loud in there from the blender, this is a great meeting place. And with the free WiFi it's a nice place...

I visit The Punchbowl just about every day. The servers are all so incredibly nice and helpful, and what they serve is fresh, delicious, healthy, and well-priced. This place cuts no corners -- all produce is top-notch, organic, and purchased daily. Their shots are fantastic and conveniently bottled to take home with you or to the office for a boost throughout the day. I love their Candida Killer, Eternal Life, and Turmeric Health shots. They also make a fantastic hand-poured ginger shot with lemon juice, cayenne, and oil of oregano (I also add turmeric). After a week of these shots once or twice a day, I feel fantastic -- less allergies in the morning, higher energy overall. From the shakes to the cold-press juices to the shots, this place is the real deal. I feel so lucky to have it right in...

[update] I'm sensing an ownership change. The person seems to be the same Everytime you go in. He's very argumentative and clearly doesn't understand the structure of different ingredients inside a smoothie. Very "by the book" which is frustrating when you have food allergies and he can't seem to make sufficient substitutions to create the same texture & flavor .

It's also clear the quality of ingredients has changed. Tastes artificial and too sweet. Less "fruity" more "frooty" if you catch what I'm saying.

So sad, this spot was a treasure. Now the vibe and service feels out if place in what was once a great little eclectic...
