Fresh Tortilla Chips + Regular House Guac - 5⭐! Beef Birria Quesadilla - 5⭐! Pollo Asada Taco - 5⭐! Champinones Taco (mushroom) - 5⭐! After Tacos Du Madre moved to the larger space on Hillhurst, the little corner restaurant on the north side of the Los Feliz Theater transformed into Guac Daddy Taqueria. The exterior is bright and colorful with green and yellows boldly letting you know this is a happy, fun place to eat. The giant "Guac Daddy" character is fun and adds to the charm. They have a large outdoor patio space. Hopefully they can keep it open now that the outdoor dining rules have changed but when I went, I was able to enjoy my delicious meal on their patio. You order at their counter facing Vermont. There is an option to order online which is nice. The cashier who took my order was friendly and helpful. I had to ask how 'spicy' the spicy guac was. He assured me low tolerance for heat would be fine and he was right. Overall, everything was tasty, fresh, and quite reasonable price-wise. I wanted to dive into their guac since it is in the name so I ordered fresh chips and fresh guac. Honestly, that is enough for a meal on its own and the guac is addictive. I also tried two tacos, chicken and mushroom. They serve almost everything 'con todo' style which means it comes with guac-salsa (of course), onions, salsa and salsa roja. The combo of flavors and seasoned proteins was excellent. I finished off my very large meal with a birria quesadilla. It was also perfect and full of flavor. I would eat everything I had again and would happily recommend each item as well. They have more taco and menu options, including the vampire taco (extra crispy cheese grilled onto the outside of the tortilla). Love that I can walk here!

Service was great! I got a Carne Asada burrito. It was okay nothing special for me. I think chipotle is better but if I was starving and needed cheap food, I would come here. But what made me give it one star .. and something I don’t think I’ll ever get over… is halfway through eating the burrito I realized there’s NO guacamole… it’s CALLED GAUC DADDY and how are you gonna be called GAUC DADDY.. and not put any guac in the Burrito. Like come on. Also, he did call it guac salsa … but the restaurant name is called guac daddy not guac salsa daddy. And guac is short for guacamole not short for guac salsa. It’s giving ā€œmarketing scamā€ haha. Also what is in/comes with the burrito, taco or the California burrito are not written anywhere, so you have to ask. That’s weird. My advice, please add it to the menu even if it’s in a smaller front size. Anyway, photos attached.. You’ll see like a hint of green on my thumb (I looooked for it) it’s giving the same amount of butter you would use to butter a piece of toast if you were on a diet. Anyway, I’ll only go back if they changed the resturant name to something more appropriate like ā€œGauc Salsa daddyā€

Guac Daddy Taqueria is a brand new walk-up quick-serve corner tacqueria in Los Feliz, LA. It’s conjoined to the Los Feliz theater. They have a breadth menu of tacos, burritos, aguas frescas, salsas, and guacamole. I like their bright yellow, aqua blue and green color which truly captivates one’s vision from a distance. I arrived today during lunch; it was my first time trying this taqueria. (Fun fact: this corner was used to be a taco joint as well) I was warmly greeted by a male staff. I ordered 2 Pollo Asado, 2 Pollo Al Pastor and an aqua frescas lemonade. My tacos were flavorful and tasty; lemonade was refreshing. Service was on point probably within 6 mins. Atmosphere was relaxing. Mexican music was good. Street metered parking. Ample of outdoor tables with street view. Prices were economically fair and competitive. They are better than other taco joint in the area. Overall, I enjoyed my tacos and drink. I def will be coming back and I recommend them.
