I’m going to be honest, I shop a lot! But I’ve never been into a store that was so tight to walk in, I felt claustrophobic in the store. As I was going through the merchandise, I can tell that a lot of these pieces were more than likely handmade, which is great. Handmade things last longer statistically, and I get most of my clothes from brands that handmade their clothes for that reason. The employee on duty was nice, he was there for me if I needed any help. However, what threw me off was the prices, I’m not cheap, however I’m not paying $3k-4k on a jacket. The most I’ve spent on a jacket was around $700. The personalized T-shirt prices were reasonable due to quality, but none of them were my style/taste unfortunately. I had tried on a gorgeous bracelet for $300 I believe (I could be wrong about the price, but it was a diamond looking skinny bracelet on the front counter), but unfortunately it was too big for me. Overall this boutique is not for me, and it was giving me claustrophobia, and the jacket prices were way too high. But is this store for somebody else? Absolutely hence the 3 stars. Would I buy a piece from there if it was reasonably priced and my style? Absolutely I would. But as of right now I don’t think I will be back soon, maybe in 6 months to see if they got new stuff. The clothes are ok, but wayyy overpriced ($600 for a fringe Jean jacket) and the owner is cxnty. The owner follows you around the WHOLE time and will keep pressuring you to look at the most expensive and gaudy stuff. Not a very intuitive stylist, as I kept saying the outfits he was trying to style me in were not my style.

After deciding to put down the jacket, the owner told me that drag performers must not make much money. How can you claim to make custom drag outfits but not be aware that many of us make hundreds per gig? He seemed to not have much knowledge of the drag scene. I was considering one of the bodysuits (still overpriced - $250 for a stoned bodysuit that you would see at Hamburger Mary’s is not it) but he snatched it out of my hands and told my friends and I to leave.

It wasn't a total waste of time though. I got lots of ideas for outfits to make and some pictures for reference! Obviously will have to be elevated and adjusted to my style a bit, but good ideas to start with. I went into the store over the weekend because it looked really cool. I was right, everything was absolutely amazing and one of a kind! The sale associate that was there had asked me what I was looking for and I just told them "Oh, I'm just looking" because I honestly just was. It seemed like they didn't like my answer and continued to mumble something. I couldn't really hear because the music was so loud. I turned to my boyfriend to ask him if he had heard what they said and we could only grab bits and pieces. I also wasn't sure if they were talking to me or to themselves because they would mumble something while making eye contact but then look straight forward. My boyfriend and I were the only ones in there. They were not friendly at all and I'm positive I saw them rolling their eyes. They clearly didn't want us in there so we left. What a shame.
