LYFE INN & SUITES by AGA - Beverly Hills — Hotel in Los Angeles

Me and my husband were going here for one night as he had a job nearby. We brought our two young children with us. Well I was in a total shock when we arrived here as it is nothing like the pictures. The pictures hide it's very motel esque vibes...We had told this place many times before we arrived that I am very allergic to down feathers in anything (pillows, comforters etc.). They seemed confused which made no sense to me as I've been to countless hotels where taking off their down bedding and switching it to hypo allergenic bedding was a very usual and normal thing. I have never had issues with that. When we arrived and I brought up the issue again to the front desk man, he did not seem to know what I was talking about. Then went on to fight me on it saying that every hotel has down and they can't remove it, that I will have to do it myself?! So I had to go into the room, check all the pillows and all the bedding. When I found their tiny little excuse for a comforter or blanket had feathers as I started to itch really bad all over my body. We then removed it and I had to sleep with no blanket all night long. That was just the beginning of our troubles. The second being the sound in the room. Everything sounds like it's echoing. There is no soundproofing whatsoever as my husband said he could hear me from downstairs lobby while I was in the room. There is a main road along one side of the property that is not shown and I didn't know about till we got there. Which comes to my next issue which was the windows weren't soundproof at all. We heard loud traffic all night long and horn honking and ambulances which scared my 3 yr old son. The entire room shook many times as big cars would drive by. Then there's the fact it's very unsafe for children as my ONE yr old was able to open the door herself while it was locked!!! Luckily I had a good eye on her and closed it immediately. The floorboards were very cheap and creaked every step. The TV remote only works if you hit the top of it because the remote is old and disconnected. And even if you get the remote to work, there is no way to fully use the menu and get to the channel you want except for flipping through every single one until you find one you like. The sheets had stains on them when we arrived. The sliding door to the bathroom got stuck as we arrived and throughout our whole time there we had to leave our bathroom door open because when we tried to move it pieces of the ceiling actually fell on us!! Half of the pillows were covered in like cheap fake leather or some sort of material that was cold and extremely uncomfortable. I was woken up at 3 AM to a couple screaming at each other and crying for at least an hour. They had no microwaves or anything really and the mini fridge wasn't even cold. It was nothing like the pictures and the outside neighborhood was better than the lobby. Yikes. I could go on but I won't! We paid close to 200 for one night in this place and it was a complete waste of money and a nightmare for my family. Me and my family will do more research next time into places we stay. I'm so disappointed because I really wanted me and my family to have a nice little trip together and now I'm just glad to be back home. Moral of the story,...
