Melrose Station is unlike any other speakeasy I've ever been to. From the moment you enter the inconspicuous entrance through the back of Glass Hookah Lounge, you are instantly transported into a different world. In stark contrast to its discreet, hidden entry so typical of classic speakeasies, the happenings inside are anything but. Melrose Station will make you feel like you are in the twilight zone. The complete lack of attention gives you a "fly on the wall" perspective. On weekends (and maybe weeknights too, who knows) free entertainment will help as you wash down your imbibements. The vibe inside is a solid, albeit at times uncomfortable, mix of a swinger's club, escort service/hookup spot, and/or front for some kind of money laundering scheme. If you sit back and take in the sights, you'll notice the waitress that is throughly ignoring you doting on the other customers, taking turns sitting with them, engaging in playful conversations rich with flirtation, an abundance of sensual touching, and exchanging of phone numbers. At some point, you realize you can probably get away with murder and everything around you will carry on, business as usual. The imbibements are delectable, the food is decent, the coffee strong. My favorite part of the evening was when our party was overcharged upwards of $100.00 for items we had not consumed, presumably with the hopes that we would not take notice of the excess charges. This thoroughly added to our otherwise unremarkable experience. I really want to give Melrose Station 5 stars, but I just cannot bring myself to because they were out of fries. Who runs...
Read moreI take every review I make seriously- my reviews can affect a business in a positive way or turn customers away. That said! I had to think about my review for a minute. I'll start with the people that were surprised they couldn't wear shorts inside the restaurant or said there was no dress code "where ever they might have looked for one"?
If someone needs to be told what to wear to a place like "Melrose Station" they don't belong there. Is it fair this person gave Melrose Station 1 star because they wore shorts to a beautiful, tasteful, cozy, high-class restaurant filled with beautiful people and were turned away at the door?
Besides the food being delicious the detail they put in every single dish they serve is made just perfect for everyone at each table.
The staff is professional yet attentive and pleasant. The least we can do is wear pants to dinner.

Read moreThis was my 1st time coming here and this bar was such a vibe for a few reasons. Let’s start with why I had an amazing time. 1. Customer Service chefs kiss. Chris was our bartender. His craftsmanship with making cocktails he went above and beyond. He was able to service everyone at the bar and was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. 2. Obviously the menu was phenomenal drink and food. Most speakeasy’s you don’t really have a good selection of food but they did here. I got the Lei me down it tasted like juice and I loved that I couldn’t taste the rum. 3. The ambiance it was such a good vibe and last but not least the music selection was sooooo bomb. Idk who did the playlist but y’all...
