K Jewelry — Local services in Los Angeles

Took a piece of jewelry there to do a simple operation, removing a piece that had been fused on. Asked them to remove using the fire torch, instead they cut it off and filed it down ruining my jewelry. I had even showed them pictures of how it should look like before they did anything to it. I was so disappointed and shocked at the results. And even after, I tried to work with them to maybe improve what they had ruined, but he didn't listen to anything I said and instead suggested that we create a hole?? I was asking if he can engrave or etch the jewelry. Why a hole?

Then he started to give me some excuses that he didn't ruin my jewelry even though I never said that he ruined it (hmm..) and even though I didn't ask him to file down anything. And later when I asked for the gold piece that he cut off, they told me that they filed down the large prongs made of gold so they didn't have the piece to give back to me... Even though the person working on my jewelry told me that he CUT it off and THEN filed it down.

Unfortunately I now know I came to the wrong place to do what I wanted, but if they couldn't do what I was asking for then don't tell me that you can and take my money and not give back pieces of my gold jewelry. And if they aren't really sure on how to proceed, maybe come back to the customer to ask some more questions? I left so so so disappointed and scammed, it seemed like they didn't even want to help me out anymore after they had given my jewelry back. response to owner's comments: It was a rose pendant for a necklace.
