The problem with Uber is they take 50%-60% of what the rider pays. So, we keep about 60-50% after Ubers cut. Most new drivers donât realize that. They think Uber takes less. Donât believe me ask your riders how much they paid and do the math. Also, the bathrooms they have for us is DISGUSTING. Also, the rule of thumb (average) is minimum 1$ per mile. If you get paid more than thatâs even better. After you calculate the time itâs going to get you there if it makes sense. Other Uber drivers illegally park in the driving lanes of the lot which restrict proper driving into and out of the lot.
