I thank Zane, the owner, for talking with me about a case of "mistaken identity"--mine. I wasn't my usual pleasant self a few months ago when I went to drop off laundry for the wonderfully convenient fluff, fold, hang. (Sometimes my physical limitations don't allow me to use those use the machines, so I am willing to pay for the excellent full service, even though it's not in my budget.) Prior to coming to OBL that day, I experienced a relentless stream of traumatic events, which included over 7 hours at the ER. What transpired at OBL could only be described as a failure to communicate leading to a mutual misunderstanding between me and a staff member; so much so, laundry was still in the trunk, tears streaming down my face not just from the confusion of that encounter, but the overwhelming frustration of the preceding 2 days. I've been a loyal customer, and when I am physically able, I absolutely love the big front loaders (and there are brand new ones!!) and the efficacious dryers as well as the cleanliness, ease of access, and the helpful staff. My point: it was completely out of character for me to be direspectful and rude (i call it "pain brain", but that's no excuse) when I left messages for Zane. I was so thankful, and it speaks volumes, that he took the time to talk with me. It shows he cares, his professionalism and character. And that is reflected on the entire...
Read moreOld review: Nice place to wash your clothes. It can get pretty busy here and it's a smaller place so it pays to be a little patient. The parking can be very tough because it is a small parking lot with multiple businesses. But once you are inside it is typically very clean and the employees are generally nice. The machines take both coins and debit credit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo. It's pretty convenient for someone like myself who never carries cash where I can use my credit card and just swipe for both the washers and dryers.
NEW REVIEW: I don't know if there was a change in management or what but in a recent months this place has become a bad experience. Before I would see employees cleaning constantly to make sure everything was nice but in recent months I have noticed this location being constantly messy and even dirty. I don't see anyone cleaning like they used to. The washers are dirty, the floors are dirty, trash is overflowing, the tops of the machines are dusty and grimy, the inside of the washers doors are grimy and have brown Gunk stuck in them along with hair and God knows what else.... so nasty now. I think I have to find a new place to wash because the employees just dont care about keeping this place clean anymore. Ive...
Read moreThe lady who designed and invented this place is a genius and a humanitarian for those of us who do not have washer dryer in our homes, it is a wonderful choice. The atmosphere is fantastic and positive, it's a beautiful place, designed to create a mellow positive atmosphere. There's Wi-Fi, it's always clean, the customer service folks are wonderful very obliging, there are dog biscuits, there's a beautiful mural on the wall. The washers and dryers are modern and they are very, very effective in cleaning your laundry, or you can have your laundry done by one of the service people if you want. There are only two negatives about this place: one of them is the volume on which the TV is set: they have 2 giant screens in the wall and every time that I have been there the volume is way too high and the programming of game shows and women's talk shows that involves a lot of screaming and yelling really gets on my nerves!!!!! And the mall that it's in, parking is a little iffy cuz it's a very small mall with a lot of restaurants and nail bars Etc. That is kind of rough. But otherwise I...
