If you want a genuine experience at an established photo shop in LA, this is where you should go.
I needed a new passport photo and didn’t want to take my chances at a drugstore photo department. I saw Photo Center had the best reviews in the city and figured I’d check it out.
For $18.50 I got two copies of a high quality, 2x2 headshot for my renewal application. The whole process took less than 5 minutes and I enjoyed chatting with Marvin, the shop owner, during that time. He’s a great guy and very knowledgeable about the passport application process. He’s happy to pass along details to ensure your application has everything it needs.
Apart from passport photo services, he has things like camera film for sale and also offers quick instruction on how to use a camera.

It had stopped working and required a repair. Initially it looked like it was dead as Marvin had trouble with the calibration. When I spoke with him he said to be patient as he wanted to try a few more things. To be honest I thought it was dead and I was resolved with just putting it on display. That being said he not only figured it out but it now works and takes proper readings. Thanks to him my old equipment works again and the prices were...

Because I travel for work, I came back in a month, he told me that there are problems with the film and he needs more time. I came back two months later, same story. I regret not taking my films then. I returned again in two months, he apologized, asked for a chance to process the films, and promised to finish all within a week. I came back one more time in a month, nothing was done. I took my films away. This business owner held my films for six months and nothing was done. He did not offer any compensation or apology. I will not come back to this place and would not recommend anyone to use his services. Deeply...
