Resource Furniture — Local services in Los Angeles

I learned about Resource Furniture from a friend who bought one of their sofa beds for her guesthouse, and a few months later I saw it in an episode of HGTV’s Celebrity IOU where it was used in a garage to guest house conversion that looked just like my own garage I was converting. I had a good idea of what I wanted when I visited the showroom, but Andy the design consultant in the LA showroom was super nice and helpful—he showed me all the material options and created renderings to help me decide. Since my garage project was still under construction, he also came to the site to make sure the builders gave me the ceiling height needed for the upper shelves as well as adjusting the measurements to make sure everything would fit within the room dimensions. His background in home design was so helpful in communicating with my contractors for and knowing how things could/should get done. As my drywall was being installed Yakira the project manager also made a couple of visits to measure and plan out where the cutouts would be made for the electrical outlets. Both of them also emailed with my contractors to make sure everything was in sync as far as dimensions. I wouldn’t recommend ordering furniture before your space is built but in my case they did everything they could to make sure it would fit exactly since I was going wall-to-wall. And since there is a 6 month lead time, it ended up being ready the same month my construction was completed. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. The Tango sectional is so comfortable and luxe and the wall bed quality is top notch. Love all the cabinets and drawers as well. We had a wonderful experience dealing with Craig from the LA office of Resource in designing and installing a Penelope wall bed for the second bedroom/office in our Pasadena, CA apartment! Over FaceTime, to see the actual configuration, he was able to assist and arrange for everything. The installation was done that very week, which was lightning speed! They also corrected an issue very quickly as well, and were very responsive to any questions. We also have an apartment in NYC, and decided to also install a Resource Penelope wallbed in our second bedroom/office there as well. We met one of the owners, Steve, in the NY showroom (he was very helpful), but Craig (from LA) was also virtually available to assist with our NY apartment, where we added beautiful bookshelves on either side of the unit, making the room feel more like a library. Installation was done within a couple of weeks of our placing the order, which was great!
