Very disappointed in this place (please read on). First of all, I will say that the masseuse I got was professional and skilled and applied a good amount of pressure which I liked. No problems with the actual massage.
I have a huge problem with the professionalism of the person (owner/ manager ?) At the front. My bf and I had chosen the 45 minute foot massage for $20, which was $40 for two people. The guy asked us how much tip we wanted to give and my bf said $10, which would have been a pretty decent 25 percent tip. However, I then thought I heard the guy quietly say "ok, $10 each," but I still kick myself at not correcting him, in part because I couldn't imagine that someone would have the balls to deliberately upcharge their customer to a 50 percent tip when that clearly was never the intention.
When he brought the receipt for my bf to sign, I noticed that he was likely intentionally trying to cover the dollar amount with his hand.
After my bf signed, I made sure to stare at the amount and saw that we had indeed been charged more than $30 a person (total was more than $61). I politely questioned this , but my bf just said ok I guess it was $10 a person. He didn't want to look bad or make a fuss so just left it. I am sure that's how they try to con people. We were rushing to get to a dinner reservation, so we just left it and didn't fuss. After all ,the total amount was not that expensive. But I was mostly angry about the cheating attitude. I want to support hard-working Chinese people but I don't want to support crooks.
I will not be back. I figured I had lost $10, but they have lost a customer.
The other issue I had was cleanliness. Outside, everything looks normal and fine. The linens look normal and I believe they are washed. But I had to go to the restroom in the back and it was not in the best condition. It wasn't even stocked with toilet paper and I had to ask .when I tried to wash my hands, I had to scrape out a few drops from an empty container by the sink. I question, how do the workers wash their hands!?!? I was particularly concerned about this because for part of the massage they were touching my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām sure this place is normally great, everyone in there seemed to have a good time. However, I came in for a 30 minute massage with my friend, just for my friend to start the massage after changing. (I timed the whole ordeal after I had to wait, so Iām giving you guys an accurate description of what happened) I waited 15 minutes for my massage to start, and when I did wait the person who did my massage was the guy who was taking phone calls and scheduling appointments. There were 5 instances within 15 minutes into the massage where he would pick up the phone and schedule appointments mid massage while digging his elbow into my spine (after I told him to be more gentle) out of a lack of attention to the client. He even left the massage for 3 minutes and didnāt even dismiss himself or explain that he was taking calls for more customers. Not even 15 minutes into my massage, after countless times of telling him to be gentle, I called it quits and said I was done with the massage. He acted surprised as if he hadnāt been negligent to me telling him he was being to rough with his elbows and my scalp. 1) If you canāt even provide a service to a client IN THE STORE, why are you taking more clients in? 2) If youāre going to be answering the phone mid massage, BE GENTLE. I canāt even describe the back pain I have gotten from this place. I went in there with lower back pain and left with pains in my back that werenāt there before. Not to mention, I had made comments to my friends about how horrible the massage was, and even told the man himself at the checkout how horrible it was. I still paid the $40 because I didnāt do enough research on the place, but he asked me for A TIP after providing the worst service. As someone who has been getting massages from random places for the past 3 years, this is the worst place Iāve been to. I just want to say, if the guy who picks up the phone is the one who is going to give your massage, SAY NO. He is horrible. Hopefully they take this into consideration cause Iām telling everyone about this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wouldnāt recommend this place at all. At the time of my arrival everyone seemed so nice. I went with my two sisters, and I was asked to wait 5 mins until someone was available for me. When it was my turn the guy was nice but was really hurting me. I kept thinking why did I come here. The entire time I felt pain, he heard me grunting and asked if I was okay, I told him he was hurting me. He continued to massage me with so much pressure, I wanted to cry. I thought about getting up and walking away but I didnāt have the guts to do so. I couldnāt wait for it to be over. My back feels bruised and sore. Then when it was finally over I go pay and my two sisters were there waiting they looked upset. I directed myself to pay with a man in the front. He told me it was $50 and asked how much was I going to tip. I said $5 thinking it was reasonable especially since I didnāt like it one bit. I thought the man did his job, I couldāve left the moment I felt discomfort but like I mentioned I didnāt have the guts. Anyways as soon as I said $5 tip the man looked at me with anger in his eyes he didnāt say anything at the moment but his tone when he told me my told said it all. My sister then tells me he is mad because he wants no less then $10 tip each. That didnāt sit well with me, first because I had a terrible experience and second because they shouldnāt ask to be tipped a certain about especially in a rude way. My sisters mentioned that he said. āHe didnāt like that, $5 is no good, I donāt like that!ā And he said it in front of other customers. No professionalism! DONāT GO TO...
