I have been wanting to write this review for a while and here it is! My fam has been so BLESSED here since moving! We LOVE being at Rise Ktown and we love the whole team here. It feels like a second home (other than my hometown home!). Love it here and can't imagine living any where else in LA right now! Our fam lucked out with finding the best community and safest place to live :)
Firstly, this apartment seems to be safer in terms of healthy living conditions!! Other buildings in LA are made with too many toxic materials.
Stephen 10/10 would recommend working with Stephen and his team! Super helpful, professional, was very informative about the lease deal options and what I was eligible for at the time when I signed which I feel saved me a lot of money and allowed me to get a good long term lease. Also Stephen has great taste in food! Every Wednesday there is a different featured food truck. I try to go whenever I can and I like that Stephen and his team coordinate this and support local businesses making delicious foods for the community! RISE KTOWN is in good hands as long as Stephen is here. I honestly feel that Ktown will forever be an amazing and sacred community as long as RISE Ktown is here. Honestly the best location in Ktown! Love it here! I hope Stephen will manage this place forever or as long as we are here!
Stacey 10/10 would recommend!! Stacey was the one overseeing a lot of things at the beginning in terms of helping to get my application approved and answering my questions, and it has made all the difference! Without her we wouldn't be here! She made me and my son feel right at home especially when we saw her two kids! I truly feel she was supporting me all the way and I truly feel that RISE Koreatown is a diverse and family-friendly welcoming community for all people with Stacey aroud.
Michelle 10/10 would recommend!! She gave me a big hug when I first arrived at our new home and showed me the apartment! Made us feel so welcome and right at home! :) She is always friendly towards me and my son. Michelle is awesome! I think she was also the first person I spoke with on the phone so it really gave me a great sense of RISE even before I started my application that everyone here is so friendly. She also has cute Chanel earrings! :)
Brianna 10/10 would recommend!! She always smiles and is friendly towards my little boy!! :) She answers all my questions whenever I have any, and I feel I can always rely on seeing her and Michelle to answer any questions. She also has amazing fashion sense and professional style! I knew I was in L.A. for sure when I saw Brianna's stylish and professional attire.
10/10 the staff at RISE Koreatown's professionalism, fashion sense!, and overall friendly demeanor and willingness to help the community will NOT disappoint. They have delivered and you can count on them to "RISE" to the occasion. My son has been very happy here so far so I am so thankful to the whole team at RISE Ktown! :) :)
Maintenance Staff 10/10 would recommend, Raymond and Jay and the WHOLE team! Jose, Guadalupe, etc. etc.OUTSTANDING. GIVE THEM ALL A RAISE. Very friendly, great work ethic, very solution-oriented, and will fix up your home ASAP. Raymond and Jay and the whole maintenance team are very reliable and professional and always made me feel that any maintenance problems would magically get fixed. They are amazing problem solvers.
Jose is awesome. Found a glass cup that I lost once and went out of his way to find it for me. Always friendly, professional, this man is always working and making sure that the entire building is in tip top condition.
Guadalupe is always there in the mornings with a smile on her face cleaning the space. You can count on this place sparkling like new thanks to Guadalupe and her team. I don't know how she does it. Amazing work ethic!! Give the whole maintenance staff a raise!! They are amazing!
Also Security is amazing! Arianna and Mercedes are fantastic and are helpful and make us feel welcomed and secure! We feel very safe and secure here!...
Read moreThis place’s parking management is a mess. The garage gates are often left open, and there’s a door from the market’s second-floor parking that’s permanently unlocked, giving anyone direct access to the apartment’s third-floor corridor. There’s no patrol, and no one checks whether cars are in their assigned spots. It honestly feels like a major theft could happen at any time. The garage is never cleaned—leave your car for a week and it’s covered in dust, and there are cigarette butts throughout the enclosed garage. The EV setup is even worse. Each charger has three ports, but management assigns four EVs to a single unit and tells residents to “work it out.” I’ve even seen charging areas where all four spaces were taken by non-EVs, which suggests assignments are done without any thought. Some residents leave cables plugged in year-round, which just stirs up conflict among neighbors. To make matters worse, every charger appears to be installed upside down, forcing the cables to bend; that bend heats up and slows charging. That seems like something the City of LA or the Fire Department should review. EV-designated spaces cost $50 more per month than regular parking, yet enforcement is nonexistent—people swap cars with friends and charge without any restrictions. Who’s paying for that privilege? Overall, there’s zero resident enforcement. For example, someone wheels two monitors and a computer out of the shared business area and monopolizes them all day, then disappears. Many people walk their dogs off-leash. The entire building is supposed to be smoke-free, yet the garage—and even the hallways—often reek of marijuana. When you report issues to the office, the response is a single mass email and nothing more, leaving affected residents to deal with it themselves. The outrageous move-out “restoration” fees are notorious here. Rent fluctuates constantly, so it’s easy to sign at the wrong moment and end up overpaying. Most residents don’t stay here long. Everyone I used to know has already moved out. Think carefully...
Read moreUPDATE! July 2024 I lived at Rise for 9 months! It was an amazing community. I will always cherish my time there. I even teared up when I had to give early notice of leaving. Stacy-Stephen-Angie-Jeff-Security-Facilities EVERYONE here was amazing! I loved my quiet and respectful neighbors! I loved the gym and the pool! The TV is the party room was perfect for sports. The karaoke room was a great place to sing away tension! Any issues in my unit were addressed immediately. I would move back here in a heartbeat! It is worth the rent and they have great move in specials! If you stop by please say hello to Stacy and Stephen for me! I miss them so much!
Original review May 2023 WHAT A PLACE! I took a tour with Angela a few weeks ago. It was my first apartment in person tour and I had been looking at places in Los Angeles for about two weeks because I was relocating here from out of state. I had been reading reviews asking around and was very overwhelmed. I got cat fished by an Airbnb site that wasn't what it was in the photos.
I decided to do a drive by at The Rise and there was an open parking spot in front so I went inside.
I was greeted by a super friendly professional welcoming leasing agent named Angela. She answered all of my questions and then scheduled me for a tour later that afternoon and then sent me to a local coffee shop where I could work until my tour.
I LOVED the tour and immediately felt right at home.
While I was waiting for my tour to being I has the opportunity to witness another staff member named Jeff interact with some residents. He was approachable friendly and had a professional demeanor that put me at ease. It turns out he is also a leasing agent!
I decided that afternoon that I wasn't going to take any other tours! I had found my home!
I have been a resident for almost three weeks now and I love it at Rise. If you are a chill, respectful, neighbor, I think you will...
