I ordered from Thank U Pho via GrubHub and commend the efficient delivery by the GrubHub driver.
Being a pho enthusiast, I've sampled numerous pho spots across the US and internationally. Regrettably, the pho from Thank U Pho didn't quite meet the mark. The beef broth lacked depth and tasted somewhat generic. I suspect they might use premade mixes rather than the authentic beef bone method. For me, a good broth defines a pho experience, and this one fell short.
The noodles initially felt rigid but softened slightly in the lukewarm broth. The chicken, unfortunately, was tough, raising questions about its freshness or storage.
On the brighter side, the accompanying ingredients like sprouts, basil, and jalapeno were fresh and generously portioned, adding a nice crunch and flavor to the dish. Thank U Pho nailed the sides.
The vermicelli in the spring rolls shared a similar texture issue. Furthermore, the peanut sauce, while decent, didn't stand out compared to others I've tried.
Kudos to Thank U Pho for their careful delivery packaging, though I'd urge them to reconsider their use of Styrofoam for sustainability reasons. The packaging did its job in ensuring no spills.
In summary, Thank U Pho's pho was a 4 out of 10 for me. With the richness of the broth improved, it could easily climb to a 6 or 7. Given the plethora of pho options nearby, it wouldn't be my top pick. However, for convenience, it's an option, albeit one that's...
Read moreAs mentioned in other reviews, Thank U Pho does a phenomenal job at packaging and delivering on a stellar pho consumption experience in the comforts of your own home. Whenever my friends and I are not feeling well in the morning due to a hangover, a bowl of pho is the best cure. On this particular Saturday morning, I felt compelled to try a new pho restaurant — branching out from our usual neighborhood spots. After considering two options on UberEats, I turned to Google reviews to finalize my choice. I felt like I had hit the jackpot when my order for Thank U Pho arrived! The portions were big, and everything was well packaged for delivery and most importantly, the flavors were on point! It quickly earned the title of 'My New Favorite Pho Joint’ and I wasted no time recommending it to a friend who also loves pho! I devoured the Super Bowl (Seafood + Beef) in a matter of minutes. To be fair, I did save 1/3 of it because I knew I wouldn’t be able to finish all of it, plus the appetizers. My partner on the other hand, slurped down his whole bowl of Rare Steak + Brisket. The S.E. Cha Combo offers a distinctive assortment of Vietnamese rolls that complement pho perfectly. I'm eager to dine in and sample more from their menu, especially...
Read moreIf I could rate this place a 0 star I would. I had just got off a 16 hr shift (I’m an LVN we work long hours) and wanted some pho to make myself feel better since I was exhausted. Soon as I entered the restaurant I was approached by a VERY rude worker who toke my order and made it “to go” when I asked him if I can please have it for here he responded “can’t you take it to go” keep in mind this was at 8pm and they close at 3am he then shouted at his coworker to make it for here stating “she ordered it to go but now she wants it for here” when my pho arrived he slammed the bowl of pho on my table spilling some broth out. I then asked him if I could please have a water he looked at me and completely disrespectfully ignored me and began taking the next customers order. The customer seen it and told him “hey sir she’s talking to you” he looked at me and then turned away and proceeded to take the customers order. I didn’t even get to eat my pho I toke a couple sips of the broth and left in tears. I will never EVER come back to this restaurant ever again. The disrespect is beyond me. I absolutely DO NOT recommend coming to...
