Sore and in pain!

Today was my day to run errands and pamper myself on my staycation while my daughter was at school. I had a fantastic mani and pedi at a nail salon nearby and was looking forward to a relaxing massage. I selected the Swedish massage, and from the jump, I told the man I don't know like hard pressure massages as I have sensitive areas. During the massage, I asked him twice to go lighter, and he never did. I think he's naturally heavy-handed and doesn't know how to massage lighter. I am 4 months pregnant and was hoping to relax and takes nap, but that was impossible as it was a painful and uncomfortable experience.

The place was very clean, soothing music, and the masseuse was a very nice man but unfortunately did not listen to the needs and requests of his client. I am lying down on a heating pad because my shoulders, neck, back, arms a d wrist are sore like I lifted weights for 3 hours and then got a beat up with a bat. The 1 star are for the location, cleanliness, and customer service provided; however, this experience was disappointing and not relaxing. I'm literally crying from the pain when all I wanted to do was relax. I don't write reviews very often, but this was necessary because I paid for a service and still tipped, hoping that the painful massage will be worth it and surprise me by releasing the tension, but unfortunately, it did not. I had to take tylenol and sleep on a heating pad and my 7-year old daughter felt helpless to see her mom in so much pain that hurt with every move.

I hope this place does the right thing!

I’ve been to this place twice and had a very different experience than this last Sunday. Now I can officially say that I think it is a scam. I called to boom and appointment with “Ryan” who I’ve met twice before and was met with confused looks, no Ryan to be found. Then I hand over my card to pay for 60 min and she is having issues with the machine - no connection she says. Do I have another card? I believe her so I hand over a credit card, but realize at that moment I should check my bank account. Sure enough the first payment went through and now the second is going through. She tells me to gonna w my massage and she’ll try to reverse the charge. Mind you her English is very limited so I’m assuming that’s what she is trying to do. My massage was good but not as good as before, different technique. Then I come out and she smiles and says that I come back next time for another massage since I already paid for it. Umm okay…I tell her I will dispute the charge with AMEX. The. I pull out a $20 and ask for change to pay for parking downstairs and give her the rest as tip. They gang up on me and say doe 60 min a $20 tip is required, 30 min a $10 tip. I’m like yea, I am going to give you $15 as tip I need the change. She grabs my parking ticket and validates and says okay now give $20 tip. I’m like fine and tell them they have a lot of rules, shaking my head at the shamelessness. I will never return. My friend and I got a massage here today, and skill wise, the person who gave me the massage was really amazing. Wish I got her name.

However, I give this place a three star because after our massage, when we went to go pay, the front desk lady chose the amount of tip herself. She said something along the lines of "$80 each, $160 in total (for both me and my friend), so I'll charge $200 including the tip." We were going to pay tip regardless, but tips are discretionary and they should not be demanded.

Also, the person who gave my friend their massage kept leaving the room every few minutes and coming back a minute later. This repeatedly happened throughout the hour...
