K-Pop Music Town — Local services in Los Angeles

My third time coming to this store. When I was about to leave today, the woman working there checked my bag for no reason. I definitely didn’t do anything improper, just walked around and looked at the albums. What she did to me is so rude.

After checking and knowing that I really didn’t steal anything, she smiled to me awkwardly. I don’t understand why she did this and I feel horrible.

Prices of albums in the store are about 20% to 40% higher than other K-pop album stores. The quality and variety of the albums are not bad, that’s why I come here sometimes and buy things, but I’ll never come back again, ever, because of her rudeness…

Also, I was in the first row of many concerts, even fly with the K-pop idols for concerts all over the world to support them. Is there any reasons for me to steal one single album???? I feel so bad. If you are Black do not go here. My mom is a huge BTS fan. I was taken to a BTS concert this year with her and understood why she loved them so much. I came to this store twice to look for stuff for my mom. I understand my boyfriend and I aren't the typical demographic that comes in one of these stores but the looks we got from the workers were so disheartening that I'll never be back although I'm in this shopping center all the time. We were followed around the store. We were stared at to the point where even my sweet docile boyfriend noticed. We are Black and my boyfriend has very long beautiful locs. To be stared at like we are going to steal something when we probably live better than the people that work here was extremely uncomfortable. Even the cashier was rude. The first time I went in here with my mom, who is Mexican and grandma who is also very light skinned Mexican, they did not even bat there eyes at us. After visiting a multitude of KPop shops in LA, this shop was definitely my favorite! It's selection of both bands and merch was immense and their atmosphere & service was great every single time. It always seems to be buzzing with people and there is definitely something for everyone in there 💙🫶🫰

I will surely be back again if I come by LA in the future! I've attached some pictures in this review of the 2x 10 Posters + stickers i bought for Stray Kids. All of them are incredibly high quality and quite beautiful, and they didnt cost more than 15 dollars each 🙏 They had a ton of other small rare finds for each kpop band, so definitely look through the back for all sorts of cool finds that you wont see in other KPop stores. Obviously they also have all the albums and lightsticks and magazines that you might need if you are a new fan or an experienced collector 🏆
