The doctor was VERY professional. He knew what to do and to this day, I still love the work he did. One issue is with the receptionist, I called asking about my insurance in which she told me they accept it. I still wanted her to call my insurance to ask about x procedure to ensure Iām paying $0 out of pocket. She then gave me a phone call a couple of days later telling me Iām all good. I called my insurance before calling the Westwood Dental Arts Center to ensure I donāt waste my time going back and forth with the dentistry and I was also told by my insurance Iām all good.
Fast forward to the appointment, I went half an hour early to get the receptionist to call my insurance because I wanted to do one more procedure and wanted to ensure it was accepted by my insurance. I told her to also double-check if the first procedure was accepted too just in case you know? Paranoia. She stayed for ONE hour on call and told me everything was covered. Fast forward a month later, I get a phone call and I owe them $400~. Iām obviously enraged. I call asking why and was told both procedures arenāt covered by my insurance? I call my insurance and was told that everything was covered except for a 7 dollar bill per procedure. Two procedures, 14 dollars. I donāt mind that. I ask the insurance to send me a proof bill. They do. I then call the receptionist explaining the situation and she just screams at me blaming me? You were the one who called the insurance MANY times, why are you mad at the consumer?
The reason I made many phone calls before getting an appointment was because I know dentists in the USA do this. Tell you they do my insurance then send you a hefty bill. I had all my siblings have this happen to them with dentists ONLY!! Always a āmiscommunicationā. I didnāt want this happen to me yet it still did..

The clinic itself is clean and well-maintained, with state-of-the-art equipment and modern facilities. I chose this place since they were open on Saturdays. Parking was okay since they have a parking garage, but they don't validate. I could not find street parking. I had my appointment with the dentist, and it was a normal appointment; no issues.
I made a follow-up appointment to get a dental cleaning from the hygienist. The hygienist only came once a week Monday-Friday (I believe on Thursdays only), and every other Saturday. I had my appointment cancelled since their hygienist quit... I was told they would contact me to reschedule my appointment when they hired a new hygienist. So they were understaffed since they only had one hygienist, and their customers suffered. And it gets better. They never contacted me again! I guess that means they never hired a hygienist again... Or they are so incompetent that they forget to call back clients they cancel on...
