2025 UPDATE** This is a new location off of Glendon and Lindbrook around the corner from the old one (which was inside of the W hotel). They’re phasing out the old location and have only had this new location open for something like a week so all of the location related details from the previous review are moot.
There’s still valet, but I didn’t ask for the updated timing or cost because I had actually walk there from Trader Joe’s.
The photos are from the 2022 review.
Last night, 05/22/25, we had a party of 10. Mark was our server and he was excellent. We all appreciated his honesty, his recommendations, and service. A few other team members also came to congratulate my graduating students. That was thoughtful! It was the attention to detail for the little things that was most memorable. I have always grimaced when servers put my fork and knife directly on the messy table next to my napkin/plate—happens more often than I’d like. Mark didn’t do that. He intentionally placed my fork and knife on my folded napkin in front of me. Small detail, but immediately made me take a liking to him. A month ago, I got braces as an adult (I know, I know), so it is difficult to chew/eat but he was willing to brainstorm with me about what options would be the best. Again—thoughtful.
There was a DJ and what I noticed that was interesting about the lighting is that instead of that super dark moody lighting that is typical of old location, this was more lounge lighting—hues of purple.
Our party of 10 tried what felt like all of the sides: 2 corn pudding, 1 market veggies(snap peas with garlic), 1 asparagus, 3 parmesan fries, 1 lobster mac, 1 bacon mac, 2 brussel sprouts, & 1 mashed potatoes. (I ate all the soft things lmao). Fries were nothing to brag about because the cheese is a very light sprinkling and isn’t melted. Everything else was great. The corn pudding is still my favorite. Just as Mark said— I could literally eat a bowl of it by itself.
Overall, great vibe and the increased attention from the overall staff (especially thanks to Mark) overshadows my previous experience. So my review is increasing from a 4 to a 5. ☺️
2022 Dined here for my boyfriend’s birthday.
Important to know that there is a difference between outdoors and outside on the back patio. The outdoors location is across and up the stairs away from the restaurant.
They also have a back patio that you must walk through the restaurant to get to.
Parking is $20 for the first TWO HOURS as displayed with validation though Valet charged $22. It’s not about the $2, but it’s about the fact that you tried to charge more than displayed (your own tip) when I would’ve tipped way more.
We had a party of 9 and were in the back patio with two other large parties. Our server was very nice, funny and attentive before we got our food.
Once we got our food, we had to continuously ask for to-go containers, asking for bags for the containers, and we asked for the bill four times. We could have walked out!
Despite all of that the food was delicious! I mean that corn pudding was * chefs kiss*. Also nearly everyone at the table ordered the drink “strawberry cobbler” which tasted like strawberry lemonade and was DANGEROUS OK?!! Drink it slowly if you’re driving because it doesn’t taste strong but it’ll get cha! The sides are to share but for like 2 people so we ordered a bunch of sides and shared them all: mashed potatoes, corn, asparagus, mac,...

1 Reservation. We had a reservation for 7:45 PM on Christmas night. When we arrived 15 minutes early, the hostess informed us that they would be unable to honor our reservation but happily and unsympathetically told us we could wait an hour to an hour and a half for a table. It seems like STK knows how to take table reservations but is missing the crucial detail of holding the reserved table. After declining to wait for at least 60 minutes, we inquired if we could sit at the bar and still order food and were told yes. While disappointed that our reservation was not honored, we were still excited to eat at STK. 2 Steak. I ordered the 28-ounce dry-aged porterhouse. When the food arrived at the table and I took a first glance at the steak I had ordered, I nearly forgot about the reservation kerfuffle. Unfortunately, my steak was served cold. Again, I was extremely disappointed with my choice of restaurant. When you pay $146.00 for a steak it should, without debate, not be served cold. While the steak was cooked to my preference and seasoned well, the coldness of it took away any meaningful flavor from what could have been a delicious meal. 3 Water. What I did not realize when my party begrudgingly agreed to sit at the bar, instead of our reserved table as anticipated, would be that water would be a scarce resource at STK. We asked the bartender, before appetizers came out, for 3 glasses of water. But he accidentally sent them to the table behind us, a silly mistake but it happens. When our appetizers arrived, we asked the employee who brought them to us for water. But he too did not deliver our water. I again went to the bartender and asked for 3 glasses of water for my table. After 10 minutes of watching this bartender make martinis and other mixed drinks for people who ordered after me, I concluded as my already cold steak became colder and colder, I would need to ask a third employee for water as this bartender was likely too embarrassed to tell me he never learned to serve water. I flagged down a different employee and for a 4th time asked for 3 glasses of water. She professionally and promptly delivered. Unfortunately, we had finished our meal by the time the waters arrived. Not very surprising when you learn it took 45 minutes after asking the first time until I was able to quench my thirst.
Overall my experience at STK was extremely disappointing. STK could have at least notified us that they could not honor the reservation before we spent 30 minutes driving there. I wish I had declined to eat at the bar service and had eaten anywhere else as this was a very poor performance for an extremely overpriced restaurant. 2/10 would not recommend making a reservation or waiting to eat at STK. Addition, see picture of the empty tables, one of which was supposed to be reserved...
Read moreI made reservations for my husband’s birthday, we have never been to this steak house before so i wanted to surprise my husband! Saw that they bring out sparkler’s for your birthday and I wanted my husband to experience that! I called prior to the reservation to make sure things would be great when we arrived! I spoke with a manager and asked about the sparklers and was told we would have to purchase a dessert for that which was fine with me because i wanted my husband to have the best time! The manager said he put it in our notes so we would be good when we arrive. We get to the restaurant is semi empty, they have us wait about 5 mins before being seated, we were seated in the bar area which I thought was strange but didnt say anything. Our waiter comes about 5 mins later. Doesn’t introduce himself just, doesn’t acknowledge that we are there to celebrate my husband’s birthday or suggest any thing! Remember its our first time here! We order our drinks, my husband had to ask about the bread smh since we saw it being brought to other tables around us. We ordered a Caesar salad for a starter, the waiter comes back to take our order, doesn’t suggest anything again, were asking questions, we ordered the most expensive steak (the tomahawk) and a few sides, my husband ordered another drink! We ask for The tomahawk to be med/rare it came out rare, cold and so thin it was disappointing, the food was a 0/10 the best thing was the bread. While we are eating we see the table next to us celebrating a birthday they get ice cream with a sparkler(they didnt order a dessert they just had the free bday ice cream), im excited because i just know thats whats coming next, they box up our food! My husband ordered the pineapple butter cakes! They bring it out with two little candles, no sparklers for us which I specifically asked for, even called to make sure, we even ordered a dessert just to be sure! I was irritated at this point, i told the guy that brought out the cake, why we didn’t get sparklers he says “we dont put it on the ice cream because it will melt” mind you, we just saw the table next to use get ice cream and sparklers so that was a lie! I told the waiter and he said (oh i didnt know, i wish they would of let me know) my husband had to ask for his second drink because it never came out! We still tipped 100 dollars on top of spending 372, this was the worst birthday experience we ever had! 0/10 and when i called to tell them about our experience, i was asked if i wanted to come back for happy hour!lol what a joke. I will never spend a penny at this place again, Their prices do not match with the service nor the food they serve. Its highly overrated. They ruined my husband’s...
