Housing put a hold on my account even though ULink showed I owed nothing. I reached out when it showed on my account, and it was fixed right away. However, this issue prevented me from being able to apply for housing. This caused me to not be unable to get the room I was hoping for. When I reached out and asked if there was any way that I could possibly be moved to the room I wanted since the hold was not my fault, but instead the fault of housing, I was met with hostility and a rude employee making it out to seem that I was the one who had messed up. I was never given a notice or received an email telling me about the supposed hold. The hold also did not show up until one week prior to this review. I am a senior and I have had an issue with housing every year that I have been here. Housing did not even apologize for...
Read moreLouisville housing has been the most horrific experience of my life. Not only do they lack professionalism, they are tremendously "wishy-washy" and tend to be incredibly unclear about things, resulting in poor living situations that are seemingly impossible to get out of. No matter how many times you call, email, or work with their "helpful crew", problems are not solved and you are left only with snarky tones and remarks. They have little to no accomodation for any specific needs, and they only offer HORRIBLE options for even worse prices. Mostly all of the residence halls are old and in poor condition. I have been very fond of Louisville, but housing has left a horrible taste in my mouth for this...
Read moreU of L Campus Housing is ridiculously negligent to staff and most of the leaders are horrible at their job. One time, a water main broke and a couple of RAs were “asked” to go through bags of resident stuff/clothing/etc. While they sorted through this wet stuff that had been sitting for a couple days, RAs were wearing regular surgical masks with no gloves, while seeing people walk around in full hazmat suits. When an RA complained- she was mocked for trying to defend her right to a safe workplace. If you just live in a dorm you should be okay, but do not ever work as an RA (or for campus housing at UofL at all). They...
