The WORST place in the city for food. I have a horror story list. UofL requires students to buy a meal plan yet the Ville Grille constantly has nothing during scheduled meal times. Aside from them simply not having food at all, when they do it never matches the menu. Expect to wait to be served for upwards of 8 minutes because that is how understaffed they are. I will never forget biting into a baked potato and it crunching like an apple. But the worst part is the complete inconsistency. Sometimes they have delicious food. That’s about 3%. Most times are like today—missing half the menu items and for the items they DO have they are poorly cooked and missing ingredients. The shrimp tostadas…. The utter disaster that is the Ville Grille might be excusable if UofL didn’t change the hours of every other on-campus dining to where this is the only place open.
