I like going to Target! Yesterday was one of the strangest experiences I have ever had! Long story short I ordered a mobile pick up. There was effective communication about my order however, when I arrived to pick it up, that’s when it got a little strange. I waited in line at returns because there was absolutely nobody in mobile pick up as well as they were carts and other items in the way of waiting at that register. Once the sales associate was done with the person in front of me, they told me that someone else would be right over to help me, but instead of them calling someone over the store intercom or using a walkie to make sure that I was assisted, they just walked away, which resulted in me, just standing there looking like a museum statue. I had to go find someone to come and assist me with picking up my mobile order. I finally found another sales associate to help me with my mobile order and they retrieved it. However, ordering a white pants suit, ketchup, and mustard I did not think that it would be in the same bag as accidents can happen. When I questioned why such a delicate item could be ruined by being placed with items it should it be, the sales associate did not apologize but told me that they don’t do mobile orders. So, I asked for another bag so that I can separate the order. They proceed to put the bag on the counter and walked away from me as if I wasn’t standing there. My problem is that I try not to pull the race card as I’ve never had many issues, but watching other people of different races not get treated like that, makes it a little difficult. All I wanted to do was pick up my order I purchased and I don’t think the response that I got was okay. It doesn’t mean that I’m going to stop going there, but I am going to give corporate a call in the morning just to express the same concerns that I am here. I’ve never dealt with that before and this was my first...
Read moreOn November 24th I was in the Target store in Lynchburg VA. I found an adorable dress, shawl and tights for my grand daughter for Christmas. I hung it on the side of the cart. It was the only one there in her size. I checked out, put my bags in the car and left. This was about 20 minutes until the store closed. I left and on my way home I was excited thinking about giving the dress to her mom. Then I was like, I don't remember putting the dress on the counter. It had fallen off the cart and I didn't notice! I hurried back to the store, got there about 10 minutes before closing, raced through the store retracing my steps. I couldn't find it. I stopped a store clerk and he told me where to check. He radioed other employees and they were all checking. The store was closed at this point and I asked him if I could stay and look. He apologized but said I couldn't. As I was leaving the store, his radio went off and he said I think they found it and he sent me to customer service. They didn't find it and he apologized for misunderstanding what they said. I left the store and got in my vehicle, upset at myself for not paying attention. As I was putting my seat belt on I saw the man who helped me searching the parking lot, like he was looking for me. I rolled down my window and asked if they found the dress and he said YES!! I was so excited! They let me back in the closed store and rang up my items. I can not begin to tell you how awesome it is that they put in so much effort to help find a dress that they could have sold to anyone else at...
Read moreGenerally speaking, I appreciate the Target shopping experience. I have been going there for decades. When covid-19 changed the world we live in as we knew it, the retail industry adjusted the customer's experience by introducing curbside pickup. I believe this has been a wonderful new option in customer service. I have used it numerous times and it is such a blessing when there is bad weather and a time saver on those long, busy days. However, on this last Target purchase, I placed the order online and it was to be ready in 2 hours. Since it was just before the Christmas holiday they were backlogged and my order was not ready until the next day. I had other obligations that kept me from being able to pick up my order. So my daughter offered to help me by going by to pick it up. I went back on the app to list a pickup person and was very surprised to find out that she had to be invited to be on my account as a shopping partner? This small hurdle became a complicated process. When unexpected things happen in life making a small adjustment such as who has permission to pick the order up on my behalf should not become a hassle. I hope someone will give this some thought and make things easier for Target shoppers in the...
