I was at Blaze Pizza two days ago. I am a frequent customer that always orders online and I donāt usually get to visit the store so often. On Monday, I decided to take my family so we can have a little chat while we eat some delicious pizza that we get to build ourselves. I went through three different girls, great customer service of the first one and last one. Now letās talk about the second girl who got short hair and black/red hair. Such a bad attitude from this girl whose letās clarify is way younger than me. On the other side, my dad loves mozzarella cheese on his pizza so Iām asking for extra cheese for his and she has such a terrible and bored face. Like she doesnāt want to take my order, or she does not want to be there. She grabs a small amount of cheese putting more cheese outside of the pizza, instead of putting the extra cheese ON the pizza. Why not putting the extra cheese that Iām asking for it? I got the money to pay it. I ignored her attitude and I continued with the girl who was gonna put vegetables/protein to my pizzas. We get to the register and I let my parents on the register and I sat down on the tall tables that are next to the register. A man that I am guessing is around the age of 35-45 with beard takes our order. I see he has a bunch of papers orders on his hand and starts to putting all of them in just one check, I thought he was gonna delete them at first but he didnāt. He was waiting for my parents to pay. I heard my parents trying to communicate to this man that we only had four build your own pizzas, but my parents were communicating with hand gestures since they donāt talk very well English. Since I am standing up, I heard how this man tells my parents in such a RUDE way, ā Iām not understanding anything that you are sayingā. Excuse me?? They are not even talking to you, they are poiting the papers that you put in our check that itās not us. I immediately get to the register and I asked the man what was the confusion, that we only had four pizzas. He raised his voice and starts telling me that we were wrong, that he was not putting any others orders to OURS. I literally saw you, whatās the point of lying? The second girl that I talked about before was behind him, she stopped flipping pizzas and looked at me like I was the one being rude. It is not the first time that happens to me in this Blaze Pizza but I am not the type of person leaving and taking minutes of my time to leave such a bad review. The pizzas were great, they never change the flavor since we always builds our own pizzas. Itās 2024 come one, why act this way when you immediately hear people talk another language??? Please educate your employees, and tell them to be nice because people like me, or my family is the ones that make your restaurant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to Blaze Pizza today. I got the cauliflower crust (they have 2 gluten-free crusts--gluten-free (that is also dairy-free) & cauliflower (gluten-free, but contains dairy & eggs) on the recommendation of the employee. It was a good recommendation.
The crust was pretty thin, but it wasn't dried out like some GF crusts. (May I just say that I wish someone would come up with a thick, chewy GF crust?!)
It was a little confusing to tell them at the very beginning of the line how many toppings i was going to get before I'd even made my way down the line to see what toppings were available. I was able to get the white cream sauce since that was GF.
The amount of cheese was pretty skimpy, so I added fresh mozzarella, which was still not a huge amount, but it at least gave more coverage.
I removed a star because I think the price is excessively high, especially considering the very light covering of cheese. The Build-Your-Own pizza is $12.95 + an additional $4.00 for the cauliflower crust (same price for the GF crust).
I have had to eat GF for 13+ years, and I've only ever been charged that much extra for a GF crust at a sitdown pizza restaurant where the pizza was truly the size of a large pizza & not just an 11" pizza.
All in all, it was nearly $50 for 3 individual pizzas (1 cauli crust Build Your Own + 2 pepperonis) and 1 regular drink. That seems high to me, mainly for the cauli crust one.
The flavor was great (much better when it was fresh out of the oven...but a lot less flavor when I came back to eat the rest of it later after it had cooled down & been reheated). This will definitely be an occasional indulgence & not a regular...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was in the area today, working with a dog who needed to get out and get used to being in public places, with her Mom. She bought her kids and herself a couple of pies, because it was lunchtime, and I waited outside for them, with her dog.
First off, a member of the staff, when he saw us sitting there, came out with a cold bowl of water for the dog, saying they had a dog's bowl and were waiting for the chance to use it. How cool is that?
The dog's Mom said I could have a slice, if I wanted one. It was cut in small slices, for her little kids to be able to handle better. (Another great offer, from the staff) I chose from the Rocket Pizza.
I'm really snobby about pizza, growing up surrounded by great Italian places to eat, in the North East, and I have to say, this pizza was really good. The sauce has a nice little kick in tang but was also pleasantly sweet, not in a bulk, can bought, Chef Boyardi style sauce. I loved that they were not afraid to char the crust a little. The dough was light, crispy and had great texture and flavor. It was all in all, a really nice Sicilian type of pizza.
I will absolutely be going back, to try some of their other creations. I just checked out the menu and I'm really impressed with the selection of toppings they offer. It's like looking at the items I will throw on a pizza at home. I'd love to see them add chopped...
