I really used to like this store and shopping here. I even appreciated the employees until... I became an Unhappy customer. I have been supporting this place since my twins have been born and that’s been 4 years. They have gotten lots of money out of me between this place and Platos (as it is to my understanding, that both franchises have the same owner) I have brought and sold here many times. Like another reviewer said, The price point is ridiculous on a lot of the items and they tend to give you far less than the value of your items when you sell it to them. I have an understanding of it kind of, because they are in the business of making a profit It wasn’t until they played me on a purchase that I have decided to make a review and encourage my friends to just go to once upon a child.
I also work at a child care facility and I told my administrator to stop going and to tell the parents who I referred to stop as well
Bad business here I’ll explain
First off there is an employee there who is rude beyond belief and is never reprimanded because she’s still there being rude to customers. She’s supposedly the manager.
I purchased a pair of “Gucci” casual shoes from her originally priced for $125 I believe and I got them for $90
I purchased them for my daughter as a graduation gift, only she didn’t graduate so I never gifted them to her. Because they were such a pricey item for a second hand store, I decided to ask if they would take them or buy them back from me. I told them what happened and on several attempts, The “manager” Ruthie refused, with a nasty attitude. She said the store will not be purchasing high end designer items because they won’t sell well. Meanwhile, I’m seeing new “high end” items (more Gucci and Louis Vuitton casuals ) in their sneaker showcase
Moving forward I tried selling the shoes online and to other resale shops. No one was interested and the other resale shops had questions about the shoes being authentic. I took the shoes to Platos to sell next door to Revolve and Blair addressed it immediately (thank you Blair, you’re always on point) Blair took the shoes back to Revolve and stated that the shoes needed to be authenticated.
Why were the shoes NOT authenticated BEFORE they were marked for sale? 🤔
So now the owner Felize is involved. These shoes sat with Felize for about a month before she finally told me, “no, I won’t be buying these back because I don’t want to get stuck with them” Those were her exact words Then she goes on to say “ we believe they are authentic “ although they never authenticated them before selling them to me. She also suggested that I try selling the shoes on Marketplace on Facebook or other online selling methods. I expressed to her that I tried and my posts got rejected due to authenticity issues. Really!! REALLY!!!
She said that “they” would not have sold me the shoes if they didn’t believe that the shoes were authentic. But, my question to her at this point was... is your staff capable of authenticating high end items? She said items are sent off for authentication in which I am more than welcome to pay for myself. Really? REALLY??
She gave me the option to do consignment stating that the price would drop monthly by $10 or more and that she would take a cut if they got sold. How is this legal? How is this fair?
Is it because I’m black? I don’t know... but... buyer be aware...!!! Every Cutomer isn’t treated equally here.
Now I’m stuck with a shoe I can not wear because my feet are not a size 5! And they (Felize and crew) seem to NOT GIVE A CARE IN THE WORLD! LIke oh well... your...
Read moreI had many great experiences with Revolve Kids for years until this past year. The clothing in the store currently looks extremely worn, boring, and drabby. All of my clothing that I've brought in the past two times has been rejected. I comb over the clothing and only bring in the best before bringing it in. I call to see what clothing the store is in need of and what is not being accepted before coming. I have brought in the most adorable outfits, high quality clothing from boutiques, along with the cutest holiday outfits...only to be turned away by an older lady with a nasty attitude. Two times in a row I've had to deal with her. She's speaks to me in a condescending way and didn't even look at the clothes in the bag (they were folded the exact same way). I wasn't even out of the parking lot and I received the phone call that none of the clothes were accepted. When I asked what was wrong she said they were too worn and out of date. One of the holiday outfits was worn once and I mentioned it and she countered me in an argumentative way with an excuse that didn't even make sense. It was apparent to me she knew she was caught in the lie of never even looking at the clothing since they were all still folded my way. Following this, I looked around only to see extremely worn out, drabby clothing. I couldn't believe my eyes! It's a shame that a store that I loved so much went down hill. I miss finding unique pieces from there and the kind service I use...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer and seller with this store for years, consistently bringing in high-quality items. Unfortunately, my recent experience was extremely disappointing and has compelled me to end my relationship with the store.
During my visit, I felt I was treated unfairly and unprofessionally. Cathy, in particular, addressed me in a loud and embarrassing manner, publicly announcing that the shoes I brought in were “dirty.” When I asked for clarification, she pointed to the bottom of the shoes—which had only been worn three times—and dismissed them without further discussion.
What was especially concerning was witnessing Cathy accept and pay for shoes from another customer, who happened to be white, despite their visibly worn condition. This disparity in treatment left me feeling that bias and prejudice may have influenced how I was treated.
Additionally, the manager present during this incident did nothing to address or de-escalate the situation, which was disappointing and unacceptable for someone in a leadership role. By allowing such behavior to go unchecked, it reflects poorly on the entire store and undermines the integrity of its business practices.
This experience has completely changed my perception of the store, and I hope leadership takes these concerns seriously. Accountability and fair treatment of all customers should...
