In spite of a lot of mixed reviews, I decided to try this place via a Groupon. I made an appt for partial highlights, deep conditioning & haircut. When I arrived for my appt at 10 (drove a half hour to get there), I was told the person who was going to do my appt couldn't come in that morning and I'd have to come back three hours later or reschedule! At first I was going to just skip it but I really needed my hair done so I decided to wait and go back in 3 hrs. I'm glad I did! I have dark brown (with lots of gray) hair that I've had foiled light blonde to help camouflage all the grey growing in. It's really hard to get just the right color of blonde. Jenny achieved the best color of highlights on my hair that I've had in a long time. The blonde is not too yellow and brassy but not too cool or ashy either. I'm so happy with the work she did! I will be going back for my ongoing touch-ups. I have had hair straightening done at different salons in the past and they have usually turned out well. Unfortunately, this wasn't my experience at this salon. Typically, the hair has to be first sectioned off into smaller parts. The parts of the hair that had been straightened previously need to have a barrier cream applied to them so that the hair is protected and doesn't get over processed. After that, the straightening cream/solution is to be applied carefully to each section. What the stylist did instead, was grab random parts of my hair and straightaway apply gobs of the straightening cream to them in a very random and sloppy way. It was all done very hastily. As a result of this, my hair became so dry, tangled, and damaged after the service. I had to apply ridiculous amounts of hair oil and conditioner to it just to make it manageable. A significant amount of my hair also broke off. This isn't how it is supposed to be. I am very angry and upset that they could do such a horrible job. I came in with very grown out box bleach dyed hair with 6 inches or more of very dark brown grow out. I had a groupon and the stylist still treated me great! My groupon was for a partial highlight and cut and style. I didnt realize the groupon didnt include a toner so I did have to pay 50 dollars more. The highlights took a long time which I expected. I started to get a migraine and the stylists were so kind and accommodating and as someone who gets migraines a lot I really appreciated the kindness. I walked away with BEAUTIFUL HAIR. You cant even tell I box dyed the bottom because the highlights blend PERFECTLY and the tone of the bleach is so gorgeous and compliments my skin so nicely.
