The loft was having a very large sale with everything 50% off. The wife and I stopped in to see if there was anything she wanted. We were in around 7 in the evening on a Wednesday, and the store was fairly empty. The store itself is fairly large, and packed with various shelving and rack displays.
Half of the clothing is well organized and shown, while the other half is haphazardly hung on racks organized by size, like a discount store. The shop is pretty standard, with 6 or so dressing rooms, and no standing/sitting room for us guys while we are waiting for our spouses.
The thing that really pissed me off was a pretty silly issue. While checking out, the cashier, who was great otherwise, selected for me that I wanted both an e-mailed and printed receipt. The credit card reader prompts you to pick whether you want a printed receipt, emailed or both. She chose both for me, and when I expressed that I did not want adds for the loft going to my email, she promised that I was only signing up for my receipt. Three days later (today) I'm getting advertisements.
The store is fine, the staff were fine, the prices are fine, the quality is fine. But why lie to me? Admittedly minor, this type of thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and seems so...
Read moreMy experience is was really awful today. When entered the store we didn't even get a hi, an acknowledgment, eye contact, nothing. Yes, the lady has been very busy assisting the only other customer and apparently they were having too much fun styling one another, but that doesn't mean no one else exist. Originally, I was planning to return/exchange my online order and potentially trying and picking up some new pieces. As they made me wait and out of boredom I went ahead an looked for another size myself. She only came to assist me when I loudly put a new item from the store to the counter. Like you are no one until you actually want to buy something from this store. Then the lady started to give instructions to someone I taught was a customer. Was there another employee on the floor the whole time??? That was enough, I told her I changed my mind and want to return them all. I didn't want to talk to these...
Read moreI love Ann Taylor's clothes because they are stylish yet tasteful. Over the last few years, however, I've noticed that after washing some of their soft cotton products in cold water as directed three holes appear at the bottom of the shirts and blouses. The last blouse I bought had three holes in it after only one washing in cold water and I didn't even dry it in the dryer. I took it back to the Loft and they credited the amount of the blouse to me. My concern is that who ever is manufacturering these shirts needs to test these materials for durability. Is anyone else experiencing this difficulty? I've bought other kinds of products from Ann Taylor and I haven't had a...
