Short version: I've had two experiences with them. Often, workers I've had used their OWN dirty nails to either take away stray polish or push my cuticles. Polish is usually dried up on shelf. Always upcharging me. Friendly, but their focus is on making a profit. Clean restroom. Never again.
Long version: I came in on April 5, knowing I only wanted a manicure. I've only had shellac nails once before in my life and was preparing for a special event. Once I walked in, I was greeted and instructed to pick a color. I chose two, a plum and gold. I'm badgered about if I want shellac or regular. After I decline the shellac, I'm coaxed into shellac because it "last longer" and "better for me." I ask for the price and am told $25. I agree to this and wait for literally 3 hours to be seen. I'm told I'll receive a $5 discount for the wait. I didn't have any plans so I wait. I get a male employee that seemed to be okay. He kept confusing me on the difference between acrylic and shellac. After talking to a few other customers near me, I realize all I want is shellac. He tells me I can't use regular nail polish, offers acrylic and etc. After ten minutes of asking questions and talking to women who have gotten it done before I use the regular polish on fake nails. He tells me this is shellac. I'm not a veteran at this, so I just agree to get it over with. Once my fake nails are glued on, he tells me it's $30. Now, this is different from what the owner tells me. I'm already upset and just agree because at this time it's already 8:30 p.m. With the discount my total comes out to $25, but I'm in no mood to argue. He tells me to come in about a month for a fill for only $8.
I didn't think my nails would grow fast, but they did. I came in today, made an appointment earlier in the week. As soon as I walk in, they ask if I have an appointment. I say yes and they don't look it up or ask questions. Their focus was asking if I wanted shellac. I tell them I'm only here for a fill and pedicure since my event is now two days away. They agree and tell me to pick a regular polish. A majority of the polish is cracked, dried up or has already been separated due to how long it's been on shelf life. I find my old two colors and wait for about five minutes. I get to my pedicure first and I believe it's the owner that is taking care of me. I'm seated for about two minutes before she gets up and tells me she'll be back. She bounces from customer to customer, handles money, messes with her hair and uses her own nails to push my cuticles or swipe away stray polish near my nails. Seemed to be in a huge rush and spoke very little. She never washes her hands in between any of this! Now, I understand if she's busy or needs to attend to someone but I assumed salons used clean tools or wore masks/gloves when handling feet/hands. I'm already here so I don't let it bother me. I go to my manicure fill with the TWO original colors and have a broken nail. She tells me "I'll fix it. Don't worry. Not many salons fix this for free." (Yet, when I'm paying I get charged $3 for this new nail she re glued on my thumb.) I go through the process of getting them "filled" and am told it's $20. The original $8 that the male employee told me last time only covered polish change. I'm pretty upset and want a refund but before I even finished my manicure she asked for my money. At the end, I'm told the fill is $15, accent nail I wanted was $5 (yes for one nail and separate color) and replaced nail was $3. I pay a total of $48 for poor service and work. I wouldn't have cared so much if the polish on my nails weren't shoddily painted or if the process was much cleaner. This experience definitely made me realize the good nail salons are in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give no starts I would. This place and workers are horrible when it comes to repairs and Iām very disappointed. I had my nails on only a week and three broke. The first time Charlie did my nails he was nice attentive and they came out beautiful. I gave him a great tip unfortunately three broke within a week. When I came back for the first repair, I called and was told to be here at 4:30 I did and Charlie was very busy. Then he asked if someone else could fix I said sure. That new employee man who everyone refused to give me his name asked what color and I told him I honestly donāt know I showed Charlie a picture and he did the color. I asked the employee can you ask Charlie maybe he will remember. He then threw the sample color book towards me and said figure out the the color. I threw it back at him and said ask Charlie I donāt know. So I waited another 45 minutes for Charlie to finish and get the color. The next day two more nails broke I called and told Charlie two other nails broke. He said come in tomorrow at 3. I said I canāt I have a Dr appointment can I please come Saturday and what time so we can make an appointment. He said be here at 12. I got here at 11:50 I told the lady I have an appointment at 12 with Charlie for a repair. She said well itās not in the books. Then I said well ask Charlie why he told me this. Charlie then came up to me and said youāre going to have to wait 40 minutes we donāt make appointments for nail repair. I said then why did you tell me to be here at 12 he said I donāt remember talking to you, you were supposed to come yesterday. Yet he doesnāt remember talking to me.Then he proceeded to tell me itās my fault my nails broke. Iām doing something or hitting something for them to break. I couldnāt believe what I was hearing. I paid so much to have them done and they want to blame me. So I waited 1 and a half hours for a nail repair. DONāT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME AT THIS PLACE. They are inconsiderate and rude, when it comes to repair. I never write reviews, but this really upset me. Itās absurd. What I found out is a family if 6 came in needed nails so Charlie took two of those customers, who he knew would tip, and didnāt want to lose out on that with having to fix my nails. Sad because I would have been a returning Customer. NEVER EVER EVER WILL I...
