So I’ve been washing my new cattle trailers at this car wash, just to get the grime and dust off of them to take pictures for the website. Today I pull in this bay and within 30 seconds a grouchy lady comes and barks at me and tells me I have to leave, cannot wash this truck and trailer in this bay. I explain to her I like this bay because the raised platforms on either side allow me to wash the top of the trailer as well. But she tells me again this is for big trucks only up, I told her my truck and trailer is 60 feet long, but that’s not good enough for her. I called the owner, his secretary said he would call me back, it’s been 30 minutes so I guess I’ll just leave. In 30 minutes I could have washed this truck and trailer, would have spent at least $30 during this time, I was planning on washing three trailers today, so I guess they lost out on approximately $100 (Update - they did call me back a bit later to tell me sorry you’re out of luck. Can’t wash this truck and trailer here. )
Interestingly enough, the entire time I’ve been here there hasn’t been a single big truck here , and yet they still ferociously want this big bay for only 18 wheelers.
Recently I had used one of the small car bays , but because these things are so long and tall I need to back up and pull forward to wash the full length, last time I almost hit a car that had snuck in behind me because I couldn’t see it. That person didn’t want to move for me. All avoidable if I wash my 60ft long and 12ft tall rig in the...
Read moreI was desperate this morning to get my van cleaned up, so I stopped to do a quick wash. I noticed the screen said $14.30 charge. I was rushing to get the job done because I remembered that the timer was quick and was charged $25 last time! For a quick wash! When I got back around my vehicle, the machine was beeping, and the sprayer hose was jerking and making noises like it was breaking. I still hadn't rinsed the van yet. 😳 The entire sprayer shut off before I could finish, so I had to add more money. I didn't spend much time rinsing the vehicle and turned the switch to STOP 🛑, it turned the sprayer off right away, which didn't start that way, that's for sure. DO NOT USE PUMPHOUSE CAR WASH IN LYTLE, TX. It is a total rip-off. The water smelled like poop to top it off. Plus, there was very little soap 🧼 on the soap setting, so it didn't look very clean or smell clean. When I checked my account there were 2 charges for $25 @Pump house car wash. Never again will I go back. So sad our little town is being ripped off due to all the growth that has developed over the last 5 years.
I was charged $50, for 10 minutes of...
Read moreJust spent $100 dollars at this place to get my truck wash and got back in it and it would not start. Turns out that it was a bad start and finally got someone to come out with a new starter and they started to put it on. Some rude lady comes out and saying the owner is going to call the police and have me towed out of the car wash. Now mind you I have been keeping this lady informed what was going on and also when the tech got here we both talked to the lady and her supervisor of the situation. When we are putting things back together then she comes and tell me in fifteen minutes she calling the cops and have us towed same song different tune. She then comes back later, literally a few seconds later talking about I need to use my credit card to turn on the wash in which I informed her that I already have spent $100 dollars to wash my truck. Then she stated she was calling the police and I said well also tell them how you just tried to extort money from me and I am sure they are going to like that you guys are trying to extort money from a veteran at that. Won’t be...
