Alice's Kandy & Korn — Local services in Mackinaw Township

After several years with terrible owners, the old owners are BACK! Clean store, friendly employees, wonderful candy corn and fudge.

My family and I went last year over the 4th of July and the store was in disrepair. We were looking for great caramel corn and caramel fudge (the one and only location in Mackinaw that has caramel fudge without nuts). They were out of the fudge and the caramel corn wasn't great.

This year, we decided to give them another chance. The store was clean and completely reorganized; I was warmly welcomed by several employees who were all very friendly and helpful; and the prices were very reasonable. Even better, the candy corn and the fudge were delicious.

I've been coming here since childhood. My family has some kind of strange addiction to carmel corn that I'll never understand and boy do they love Alice's. I would love to give five stars but I can't. My favorite flavor gets no love here. The butter get's reject kernels and that simply sucks, why can't it get the good stuff too? The butter flavor from Alice's is great. When it's paired with the fresh lemonade, it's a treat but I don't want to choke at every bite.

That said, the lemonade, butter pecan popkorn, fudge and chocolate covered pretzels are enough to earn the four stars and a strong...

We walked at 5pm..not realizing that was when they closed. I felt so bad, but Sarah insisted it was okay and spent time with us. I was able to sample the popcorn..and may add the best I have ever tasted. She was kind and gracious. As we were leaving..more ppl were coming in as she was locking up. Once again..she let them in as well...with..NO WORRIES..and took care of them as well. So..Hugh quality of products...and a very special employee! I cannot wait to visit Mackinaw City again...and u can bet..I will stock up on more popcorn...
