The Historic Depot Restaurant — Restaurant in Mackinaw Township

Our lunch was delicious everyone that ordered what they got was loving it the wraps were divine the burgers were delicious and the taco was great but when it says it comes with corn it should have came with corn and it should have came with the barbecue sauce when it says it comes with barbecue sauce. It was a corn tortilla for goodness sakes it should have came with a corn tortilla instead of a flower tortilla. Also our waitress was just a tad bit naughty I asked her about how big their Philly steak and cheese was and she goes why should you ask about a Philly steak and cheese it doesn't matter what you what are you get a Philly steak and cheese they're all the same and those were her exact words to me. He never did answer my question I wanted to know was it a normal size was it small a 6 in a 12 inch how big was the darn sandwich. Then my cousin asked if she could get a bird early bird sandwich as a wrap because it never said if it was a wrap or a sandwich and she goes It's always a wrap with a very snotty attitude. But since we were all there and we were hungry anyways we still stayed and had food so I thought well fine I will just order the burger at the top of the menu and which ended up to be the depot Burger which I could have anything I wanted on it. And my husband had a burger also which came with bacon and onion rings and all kinds of goodies which looked very nice. So if all else failed if we could have at least had the meal without the attitude I would say this would have had a two thumbs up but I will not be giving a two thumbs up at this restaurant I will give it a one thumbs up and a one thumbs down. And she did not get a 15% tip from me. Maybe she will think next time on having a nice sweet attitude when she talks...

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would, which makes me really sad because The Depot USED to be an awesome place. Boy have things changed and they are now under new ownership. First off, the chairs and table felt sticky, that should've been my 1st warning sign. Secondly, the appetizers were small portions. We got 2 appetizers, the pretzel bites and fried mushrooms. The mushrooms literally had only 9 mushrooms for 9 bucks and the cheese from the pretzel bites was microwaved and burned on the edges. Plus a fly was buzzing around our table and the waitress did nothing about it. She couldn't have cared less. Our main entree we ordered fish and chips which were served in a paper lined basket which was a joke considering the prices. The paper was soaking with grease and the bottom of the fish was soggy. There was also no flavor and the fries were even gross. How does a restaurant screw up fries? My son ordered a BLT and it was the flattest sandwich I have ever seen and the bacon was flimsy. We complained about the food so the waitress gave us 10% off on our order, but here's the kicker.....our bill wasn't adding up and that's when we realized a 20% tip was already applied to our bill. On August 16, 2016 I came to Mackinaw Crossings, visiting Mackinac Island on a bus trip. Me and and another lady. We walked in, two people were behind the bar. They both looked at us and never said a word. We stood there for 5 mins so I said to my friend that if they didn't seat us that we were leaving. Finally they acknowledged us and seated us. She ordered wings and I got zucchini sticks. There was grease in the bottom of the container that her wings were in. The breading on my zucchini kept coming off. Anyway when it came time to pay the bills, the waiter ( a Middle Eastern man) ran her charge on the wrong server number, and had to void it and re-enter it. My bill came to $10.54. I gave him $20.60. He asked if I wanted my change and I replied that I did. I must have waited 8 mins. and he never returned. I went in restaurant looking for him because we were dining outside. He handed me back $6.06 keeping $4.00 of my money. At that point I never argued with him about it and just left feeling that if he felt good about stealing my money so be it. I would never recommend this restaurant to anybody visiting...
