A real fixture of Mackinac Crossing, Enchanted Knights performs a minor miracle by being a novelty store catering to a tourist crowd while refusing to sell the mass-produced magnets and t-shirts that make most of the other souvenir shops in the area almost identical to one another. Instead, they sell magnets and t-shirts with dragons and fairies on them, and I think that's pretty cool. In addition to the magnets and t-shirts, Enchanted Knights carries an enchanting array of fantasy-themed oddments; from books and posters to incense and crystals, and boasts a whole section devoted to swords and knives. So, whether you need to arm yourself to go fight an army of Orcs, or you'd just like to spend a while in a store that carries something other than trucker caps printed with fudge puns, this is the place for you!
As a footnote, I will say that they should sell "Enchanted Knights" shirts. That feels like a huge missed opportunity, because I really would like a t-shirt with...
Read moreSold me a really cool dragon globe that's supposed to spin when you put batteries in it, after spending 10 minutes looking for a new one in the back of the store, they decided to sell me the display model for 10% off. When I get home and put batteries in it, it works for 5 minutes. Then it stops, I call and ask if I can return it, I bring it in, they spend 15 minutes looking for my receipt, then tell me I cannot return it without a receipt. I looked into it, and the tag says $44.00, 10% off, but then I look into it and I got charged over $49 dollars! Now I have a 49 dollar piece of junk that doesn't do anything. Cool. Learned where to never buy a gift.
You did not inform me that the statue didn't work, because I would have never purchased it, nobody wants a broken piece of worthless junk for 50 bucks As well, it was only 10% off a display model, not a discount because it was broken. Don't lie. It looks really bad. And explain how my $44 dollar statue 10% off...
Read moreWe recently visited Enchanted Nights in Mackinaw City and picked out a magical item that, unfortunately, didn’t work by the time we returned home—three hours away. When we called the store, it wasn’t to ask for a refund, but simply to let them know so that other children wouldn’t be disappointed like our 6- and 14-year-old were.
To our surprise, the staff asked for our children’s names and our address, and just a few days later, they sent a thoughtful, magical package in the mail that completely made up for the experience. Our kids were thrilled, and it turned a small disappointment into a truly special memory.
I’m beyond impressed with the kindness, care, and above-and-beyond customer service from the team—especially the manager. Enchanted Nights is a place full of wonder and excitement, perfect for families of all ages. You’ll get lost in the magic, and we absolutely can’t wait to go...
