I love hobby lobby and my family and I spend plenty of money there. Today I was at the Madison location when I spotted a lady who was working leaning against carts talking on the phone ignoring customers. As I was in line close to 6-10 people got behind me with only one register open. This lady still did not help. The register worker was waving this lady down and still was ignored. Finally she got up and called a second and third register. NOW, I’m finally being checked out when my mom got in behind me. She was talking to an elderly women when this lady yelled at my mom “move your cart to the next register” my mom was trying to answer but also in a conversation. The lady in such a disrespectful, condescending, rude tone yells “well just close the register because they are ignoring us” I spoke up on my moms behalf saying “she just said she was coming over but she is in the middle of the conversation. I’ll just take her cart over” this lady rolled her eyes and looked at me as if she was over me and how dare I speak back. This lady’s name is Hannah and she is a manager at Hobby Lobby in Madison. This is a Christian owned company and even if you aren’t a Christian and work there it is your job to represent and be respectful. Lastly it is your job as a MANAGER to help customers, be professional and kind, not ignore, be condescending, and completely rude to shopping clients...
Read moreI rarely /post negative comments about businesses but I'm over it. I'm glad Hobby Lobby is here but the customer service is lacking. Today I went in to get a project box. Thanks to the Mgr, standing In the front of the store was pointed in the correct area of the store. After I found it and went to check out my frustrations began. Once again only one cashier WHO WAS AWESOME & FRIENDLY. But there was a huge check out line and only one cashier. I understand that a customer had an issue and the Mgr had to do research. No biggie but after that was taken care of she the Mgr didn't jump in to cash people out. Then to further my frustration a second Mgr showed up to gave change but Never opened up a register to help that poor cashier, the only advice she gave the cashier when she got overwhelmed was to take a breath and refocused. Why can't they keep a second register open to jump in an help when needed. There was proof 10 to 15 in the EVER GROWING LINE. I've left this store in Madison, IN seve1ral times because of the long lines. I'm on oxygen and have bad days this is one of them, sadly I needed the item I waited 15 minutes to check out. Next time amazon. And to those who say I don't understand customer service and management I was a restaurant manager And didn't care what my job requirered, my customers standing in front of...
Read moreWe were in Madison over the holiday weekend and stopped by this Hobby Lobby to make a quick return and pick up some fall decorations. Unfortunately, there was nothing quick about the visit. The return line was about 10 people deep, and the customer in front of me had a full cart of items to purchase. After waiting about 8 minutes, a cashier finally opened another line and asked if she could help me since I was next in line. However, when I explained I had a return, she said she couldn’t assist me, meaning I had to continue waiting in the same long line. This seems to be a recurring issue at Hobby Lobby, whether due to lack of training or poor staffing, and it makes what should be a simple errand unnecessarily...
