I completely understand rules and procedures. So when I call the pharmacy, and the technician tells me my prescription is due to be filled on the 11th I plan on getting there at 9 am, when they open and p/u. Wednesday morning I stop in on the 11th to pick up said prescription, only to be told it won't be ready until10:30. Thats 1.5 hours to fill a prescription that was called in a week prior. I feel even more upset when I overheard the lady helping customers at the window say their prescription will be ready in 30 minutes. What gives? I can only assume some of the employees are uninformed on policy and procedure. Come on Walgreens, get it together. Read moreTrying to avoid frustration, I called to make absolutely sure they could take a new patient, that they could fill my script and that I could pay out of pocket, BEFORE SENDING ANYTHING. I have always used Walgreens for this same prescription, this one is just closer to home. Thats the only diffrence. Once they received my prescription, and rejected it, I spoke with the same guy. I was told that it is illegal to pay out of pocket at Walgreens, and that any location will reject it for not using your insurance. Just go somewhere else if you expect your pharmacist to be more knowledgeable that you are. Or to be at all...
