Received three envelope size packages and gladly paid $5.00 for each one. I was traveling and also needed my vehicle tabs sent from Seattle. When I went to pick them up, I was told that if it was in an envelope they don’t accept them and send them back wasting the week I had waited in Mammoth Lakes for my tabs yo arrive so my motorhome would have current tabs. The clerk claimed they were too busy and didn’t have a method to manage incoming Mail opposed to packages. Every time I’ve been in there I heard things like. “Well we can only do so much” excuses are normal. One of my packages was a day late and I needed to leave town. The woman behind the counter claimed they were unable to call me when it arrived and that I would need to follow the tracking if I wanted to know when it was delivered. So again frustrated with the lack of normal customer service and conveniences of a personal mailbox shipping store. I waited for the tracking and when I got the alert that my package was delivered I went to pick it up and she was inconvenienced that she had not yet checked the packages in, even though that is when she told me to come. I’ve caught my employees behave this way before and fired them on the spot. The woman behind the counter has no business doing retail work or customer service work. Each time I visited the store I heard her complain and make excuses of why they were unable to do their job. In 5 years if full time travel this is the worst, rudest, least service oriented shipping center I’ve used. I drove to the next city and receive my mail from a place that isn’t angry at their customers and took full responsibility for their services and gladly called me when my parcel arrived. Mammoth Business Essentials does not live up to it’s name. They fail at the basics of a mailbox...
Read moreI needed to send a package overnight in an emergency situation. I explained to the clerk that I did not want a signature since no one would be home to sign during business hours. She then asked me if I wanted insurance which I got but with no signature. I was charged $91.10 for this small package and it did not arrive because the insurance triggered a signature for which I was never informed. I called Fed Ex and they stated that I should have been told about the signature and, since no one would be there to sign for subsequent deliveries, they returned the package. When I called the next day, Craig Hansen the manager/owner, berated me for calling Fed Ex, and said they should not have talked with me and basically accused me of lying. When I asked him why I would spend $91.50 for an overnight package that I knew would not arrive because no one would be there to sign he got angry and said he would return my money because they did not communicate with me but I never received a refund. When I called to find out when I could expect my refund, he said he was waiting to hear from Fed Ex and when I called again a week later, he would not speak to me. This happened three weeks ago.
This business does not deserve your business since no customer should be treated with such disrespect...

We showed up to this business with our 5 gallon bucket to be shipped off to our next destination but there was a little bit of an issue between websites.
Google showed a closing time that was not reflective of the store’s real closing time. And, (as a small business owner) I understand technology isn’t always the greatest — I understand just how difficult it is to match these things up.
Sam was so incredibly helpful and made sure to do things in a manner that were correct for the mistake that Google made.
Our food for the next part of our trip got shipped offed correctly and was made to be sure to arrive at our next destination in time. And, Sam was so helpful in making sure it happened (even though he hadn’t had lunch all day and was literally crashing from his blood sugar deficiency!)
If you are ever in Mammoth and need to have something shipped, you definitely need to stop by Mammoth Business Essentials and support someone who is going to do...
