Wonderful food with huge portions (the regular bowls would have been sufficient). Friendly service and everything was nice and clean and well marked. Chopsticks and forks at the table with house made sambal and chili 🌶️ flakes for those in the know and like to turn the heat up. It also has the traditional Sriracha and Hoisin sauce and soy sauce (though the food was all well seasoned).
The pho beef broth we had was very tasty like it was made for hours and the chicken broth I had was pretty good too. We did not try the house special OMG sauce so we have to come back. The #3 was really tasty but would have liked the roast pork bits to be smaller like I am used to (but it is accurately described in the menu so I knew exactly what to expect).
They serve boba and beer (would have liked Tiger or Chang beers but had sake, Sapporo, Tsingtao, Singha and Modelo (Now the #1 beer in America). Like I said - pan Asian with a nod to Mexican because we are in California. The sparkling water with purée looked interesting but we didn’t try it. Lots of hot tea options
The restaurant was divided into two rooms and the decor was fun and signs were witty. I could tell the servers like the owner so that is always good. The space was tight but the cart used to bus tables could maneuver around easily enough.
It was busy in Oct on a Sat evening so I expect it to be busier during the summer. Looks like a mix of lack residents and tourists and there are not too many Asian spots in town so this is a welcome addition to the traditional dining scene of German/ American / Pub fare.
Would recommend after a chilly day of skiing, or hiking, or anything. Now if the owners would research recipes for laksa - the latest fad to add to their menu… but that might be a hard sell in...
Read moreFound a BIG NASTY BUG IN MY FOOD The lady who I believe was the owner came over tried to say it wasn’t a bug LOL
being that it so obviously was a bug then she said O YES I know what that is, it’s a bok choy Beatle, and told us they had found them a couple of times before in their soups (The fact that she said that right after trying to deny it was a bug, admits it’s a problem there)
She then said to us it can’t be helped they somehow manage to get into the soup! AM How about washing the vegetables thoroughly that might help keep them out.
The worse part is she got an attitude because we didn’t want to pay for any of the meal and made a big deal out of it, so instead of apologizing and immediately trying to make it right she wanted to just comp the one soup out of 3 LIKE WHAT! There was a GIANT Beatle in my soup.
She actually augured about it with us and then gave in after a few minutes of trying to reason with her about it, unbelievable!
Bad experience all round, the waiter had an attitude and was rude towards one of my party because she had a question when we ordered.
I told everyone on the way out I found a bug in my soup because people were looking at what was going on and she yelled at us to get out. If she didn’t make a big deal of it not being a bug then explaining a big story of them finding these bugs no one would have looked, she could have done the right thing straight away but didn’t she decided to try to & huddle us instead! like nah not cool! Just admit the truth it didn’t have to be a big deal.

Read moreWaste of time. We stayed the weekend in the Mammoth area and got back to our hotel at around 6:15pm after a long day of hiking. In trying to find somewhere to eat, we came across Noodle-ly's website and were thrilled to see that they were offering dine in service. I picked up the phone and called them to see if we could make a dinner reservation but was told that they arent taking reservations and that people were being seated on a first come, first serve basis. I asked if there was a wait currently at the restaurant and was told that we would be first on the list when we arrived. I hung up the phone and we all loaded up in the car and drove to the restaurant about 10 minutes away. After arriving at the restaurant at about 6:45pm, we were told that there were 5 other parties ahead of us on the list and that the wait was going to be 15-25 minutes. 25 minutes goes by and Cesar texts us to let us know that our table is still not ready and that we would need to wait an additional 15-25 minutes for a table. At around 7:45pm we decided to go to Thai'd Up instead. We were helped instantly and the curries...
