If I could give Black Tie Ski Rentals in Mammoth more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat! From start to finish, this was hands-down the most seamless, stress-free ski rental experience we’ve ever had.

Let’s start with the service: top-notch. We booked online ahead of our trip, and right on schedule, a super friendly and knowledgeable tech showed up at our lodging with all our gear in tow. They took the time to custom fit each of us – no rushing, no waiting in lines, and no chaotic rental shop energy. Just great service, right in the comfort of our own space.

The gear? Immaculate. We’re talking high-quality, professionally tuned skis and snowboards, top-brand boots that actually fit well (yes, really), and helmets and poles that were practically brand new. My kids were thrilled with their setups too – and anyone who’s traveled with kids knows how much that matters.

But the real kicker? The convenience. Need a size swap? They’ll meet you on the mountain. Ready to return? Just leave the gear outside and they pick it up. It’s like having a personal ski concierge.

Unforgettable, remarkable, customer for life. I just got back with a family of five from 4 days of skiing in mammoth mountain. Being the sole person that had to arrange everything using BTS made the process smooth, easy, accommodating and fantastic. I haven't been skiing in 20 years and this was my first time back with small kids and seniors some who have never skied before. The whole staff was incredible and unbelievably over the top, friendly, helpful and nice. It's rare to find service like this these days. I am a VERY hard customer to please. Nothing EVER goes right for me and being in business for my self I am extremely critical of any little thing that goes wrong, from a crooked uniform, personal appearance, a slip of the tongue, a roll of the eyes, or a hint of a bad attitude none of that was present when dealing with this organization. They bent over backwards in being available, handling special requests, dealing with my problems, last minute changes and making me feel like I was their best and only customer on the entire mountain. Everyone we dealt with at Black Tie was incredible. We first visited another Mammoth Snowboarding store (that shall remain nameless) where I first went 15 years ago. They were gruff, unhelpful and frankly didn't bat an eyelid when we walked out ("I know we'll see you tomorrow as we're the cheapest in town". They weren't.)

So we went to Black Tie where Ali couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful - even though they were about to close. I got kitted out with a fantastic snowboard, boots, bindings & helmet. We returned the next day as my girlfriend wanted to try a new board. Max kitted her out and again was amazingly helpful. The next day, we both wanted to try a different board as the conditions had changed (had about a foot of fresh snow) so Matt drove up to our hotel with a couple of options and helped me completely change my set up - which transformed my last few days on the mountain.

At the end of the trip, we left all of our kit in the hotel locker and BT came to pick them up - so they really couldn't have been more helpful or more professional. And they were cheaper than the moody nobs...
